Nice wye pike and view of the stretch . Wire traces with double sets of trebles should be fully barbless . You still have 6 chances .

Hi Joe. You misunderstand the theory. If you fish Rivers, especially hard flowing rivers like the Wye, where your bait is moving around, a dead bait will work its way off a barbless treble. Nothing worse than winding in and realising you've not had a bait on for an hour! So we use semi barbless, merely to secure our baits, not because we're cruel or think it gives a better hook hold. Hope that clears it up for you.👍
