When the young lady walked out on stage she only acknowledged the people that gestured to her. Jimmy and Reece both opened their arms and walked towards her. Usher was the only one that never moved to suggest he was open to a hug or a handshake. Body language says a lot and his says he didn’t want to have her greet him.

It's more rude to assume that somebody is being rude instead of just a little confused about what to do in a social situation. Everybody experiences social awkwardness/confusion sometimes, especially when being introduced to a group, and some people are more prone than others to difficulty with sensing the most socially-expected behavior in any given situation. Many of us can only bring ourselves to leave the house by relying on the hope that others won't make negative assumptions about our characters for things like this.
