Great guide, but I have to disagree on three things: 1) I wouldn't recommend it for beginners but a gunslinger jedi playthrough is very fun, worth trying out 2) flurry is the clear winner of melee feats, power attack and crit attack can be viable at the start but by the time you get a saber you can deal so much damage with a single attack that having one more gives way more damage than the power attack bonus, 3E simple wasn't balanced around the numbers KOTOR2 reaches 3) there's no clear winner between dual wielding and saberstaff in my opinion thanks to random drops on most best crystals - if you want stack attribute bonuses then dual wield since those bonuses stack regardless of source, but if you want to get best damage then you pick your most damaging gems and put them into a saberstaff so that all your attacks have the best bonuses
@CatDaddyGaming4 жыл бұрын
Thank you very much! :) You do make some great points but I can't say I agree with Flurry or not dual wielding. Maybe I will have to put some more time and love into building a Flurry build but Critical Strike always gets me my best damage. Maybe I will have to try a dual bladed saber some more but 4 crystals stacking on my attack usually stomp the 2 I put into the dual saber. I will definitely try out some of these other ways and see if I can get them to work better for me! :)
@Hydroxis453 жыл бұрын
To me, the damage difference between dual weilding and double-bladed is negligible. For my Weapons Master, twinblade did slightly more damage, but my dual wielding stacking of skills (stun and keen) was also REALLY good. For me, both are equal-- all depends on what you're looking for
@Hydroxis453 жыл бұрын
Also, I should add that the only benefit I see for flurry is that an additional attack increases your chances of landing damage in a round that you typically would miss the first two swings. Just a thought
@starmada1052 жыл бұрын
Flurry is definitely way better for melee. The power attack bonus just isn’t worth taking for anything past telos, as you should be getting a lightsaber just after that and the plus ten is negligible compared to a whole new attack, especially at no penalty. It’s expected to be doing over 100 damage regularly by the end of the game for martial classes, and you will hit often, especially once you buff up your attacks per round with buffs like master speed. At that point you’ll be doing to much damage to even consider power strike. Crit strike is good on paper but I find it almost never nets enough extra damage for it to be worth three feats. Maybe RNJesus just hates me I don’t know.

Here with a helpful hint for the start of the game. If you're going Consular, which is the only good starting class, with high Intelligence, put a single point into both Demolition and Security. Save 3 points at creation and take Class Skill: Computer Use as your first feat. Getting Force Focus at level 2 will allow you to collect the mines at the start of the game with no future investment. You can now pump Computer Use and Repair to 15 and 20
@Elrohof11 ай бұрын
I disagree, I think consular might be the worst one. You'll only have 6 feats at lvl 15 compared to sentinels 8 or guardians 9, and like guardian you're only proficient in 4 skills, compared to the sentinels 6. You'd use one of your few precious feats to get computer use, when sentinels have computer use for free. All this for +4 DC (not even damage increase) on your force powers and a bonus force power per 3rd level? Only ever worth it if you're doing a force-only run, and that's barely since you'd already pump wisdom and charisma anyways, both of which boost force DC + damage all-in-one. The bonus force powers are superfluous in this scenario as well, you'd only use force lightning/storm or MAYBE drain life/death field, and every jedi class already gets enough force powers from the 1 at every level-up. You'd get a lot more mileage from picking sentinel. You get immunity to most debilitating effects in the game, you get 4 extra skill points on creation for the same amount of intelligence and 1 extra skill point per level, you start with security so you don't lose 1 extra point for investing skills there on creation. With intelligence at 14 you'll do wonders. Even if this is lower than your suggested consular intelligence, which I doubt, you can compensate by putting an extra point in demo and you'll have the same results. Plus you're now free to spend those attribute points at something more worthwhile since skill points are cheaper to invest than attribute points. You'll only lack demolitions and repair, repair being the only crucial one you're missing. But with the two extra feats you get it's easily remedied, or you can do the consular prestige at 15 to get repair "for free". Which I wouldn't recommend, since both consular prestiges suck for all the same reasons that basic consulars suck.
@Elrohof11 ай бұрын
I would suggest everyone to follow OP's advice, but instead create sentinels, dump strength since it is only good for damage and hit chance, both you'll still have plenty of from other sources. Now just put all other attributes to 14. You'll have a character that has the potential to go for as much content as your alignment will allow, all in one run. With this, you can easily get the permanent attribute upgrades locked in skill/attribute checks from your companion dialogues with Hanharr, HK-47 and T3-M4.

I played sentinel/watchman all the time for skill play throughs. That flank damage bonus was no joke too if you liked to micromanage team positioning. Stealth was never worth but all that extra experience and chances to get more out of the game was a big win. Finally that CC immunity at the end game was so nice 👍🏻

Great video breaking down key game mechanics. You made several valid points. However: 1) When playing as a Jedi Sentinel, I always select the Class-Skill Demolitions and Class-Skill Repair feats first. Demolitions first since you encounter mines early on in Peragus, so it helps to have enough skill points to recover mines and gain some XP. After that, you can level-up whatever skills you want. I always max out Persuade and Security. 2) For attacks, I always start with Flurry (later Improved and Master Flurry) to reduce the defence penalty when my character has lower health and defence early in the game. Also, there is a chance that I can land critical hits with Flurry especially if my weapon is Keen. Keen (or Critical Threat Range x2 or x3) means your chances/likelihood of dealing a critical hit (more damage) is greater than dealing normal damage with your weapon. That being said, the combat animation for Flurry takes longer to complete since you are landing more attacks per round. Later on, I sometimes use Critical Strike and/or Power Attack for quickly eliminating groups of weaker opponents. Nevertheless, I still use Flurry as my main attack. 3) Toughness is a must-have in general for any character. More health = more fun. 4) Force Valor is crucial for breaking down and creating items at workbenches and lab stations. If you are a few levels shy of creating a certain upgrade for your lightsaber, blaster and so on, you could use this force power to boost your skill levels a few points so you can potentially create what you need. The same goes for picking locks, slicing computers and repairing droids/machines. For example, if there is a certain lightsaber upgrade that requires a Demolitions skill level of 15 and my current level is 14 (assming I have no equipment that improves this skill), using Force Valor will bump my Demolitions skill level >=15, just enough to create that upgrade. 5) In most playthroughs, I never had to use the Revitalize power since I found the game easy enough that I never had characters die in combat. This is partly because I always ensure my party has more than enough Energy/Mandalorian Melee Shields on hand and would equip them by double-clicking on them from the Menu instead of in-game. However, some players would benefit from using it. Also, I found the Force Resistance and Force Immunity powers incredibly useful when facing Dark Jedi and Sith (especially against Darth Nihilus and Darth Traya). Likewise, keep up making great content.

5:37 You should only grab Lightsaber Finesse if your character has way higher Dex than Strength. If you're already a Strength-based fighter, this will be a waste of a feat. 6:18 Power Strike has no defense penalty, its downside is an accuracy penalty on your attack roll that turn. It's a "safer" way to deal big damage. 8:22 Force Valor is more than just decent. A flat bonus to all of your Attributes is huge. Directly affects all of your party's combat strengths, and can allow you to pass skill checks you'd otherwise fail, like slicing, security, repairs and even carries into dialogue if you skip through to make the check before the effect runs out. 17:00 I can understand your reasoning there, but I find that a party comprised purely of Jedi can be... homogenous to a fault. Bao-Dur gains way less Skill Points once he becomes a Jedi Guardian, for example, and I like having someone along who can both fight decently and handle all the tech stuff. To each his own, I guess. Overall, pretty good guide. An interesting cross-class combo is starting as Consular for the higher DC for your Force powers, then going Watchman/Assassin for Sneak Attack. The bonus damage applies to enemies who are incapacitated, so you can more easily paralyze all enemies with Force Wave or Insanity, and then deliver insane damage with your lightsaber while they're held in place. Somewhat unrelated, but people seem to really sleep on the Battle Precognition feat that the Handmaiden gives you pretty early on. It can allow you to make a Strength-based Guardian that still has devastating Force powers by dumping Dex. That way, Wisdom serves as your Defense modifier, and awards you very good Force power DCs for a well-rounded combat monster of a Jedi. Leave all the techy stuff to your companions, Kreia's full of sh*t.
@CatDaddyGaming4 жыл бұрын
I did leave out some of the really good ones. I am considering going back over some of the better ones I slept on a little bit. You are correct about Finesse. I have read about a surprising amount of players that get Finesse and then just sleep on Strength so blasters work well for them. Which is valid strategy but does miss out some damage multipliers later on. I didn't realize that for Power Attack so I appreciate you letting me know. You make a great point with Force Valor. Seems to be a great Force Power to have in your arsenal. I totally understand your point on companions and keeping them as their original class, but I still really love getting as many Jedi as possible. They make for great fail safes when an OP main ins't enough. I will have to experiment on a playthrough without turning them into Jedi as fast as possible. I will also try out the Consular/Assassin sneak tactic and Handmaiden's Battle Precognition a little bit more. Thank you for the kind words. I appreciate the comment and pointing these things out. I have learned a lot from people taking the time to explain things a little better so it will help me when returning the favor to others. I also really enjoyed the ending sentence to your comment! :)

Now that it's out on Switch, I'm playing it again. What a nostalgia trip! I'm going with a build you're gonna hate, lol. Starting Jedi Guardian, but playing it like a Sentinel. 18 Int to start for 20 skill points. First handful of feats unlocking every cross class skill except Stealth, as well as investing in the gear head line. Computer Use and Repair are super important for the droid companions, and just in general. Planning to prestige in Jedi Watchman for those sweet sneak attacks, which I think are auto with Force Jump hits. Just got to the surface of Telos and she's pretty weak still in combat, but she's gonna get enough feats now to make up for it I think, unlike if you tried to go skill based with the Consular. I just figured I'd try something different. I almost always start Sentinel, lol. It's hard to change it up. So I barely did. Side note: Dualing a single saber is good if you wanna play the tank of your party and focus on defense. It's not just an aesthetic choice. Or, if you play a Consular (and/or prestige variant), and you're not using your saber anyway, so why not make it a shield instead? Also, a blaster build for the Exile (and Atton for that matter) is hella fun. Rapid Shot, two pistols, that feat line that makes it harder or impossible for your shots to be reflected back, Force powers to buff yourself/stun lock enemies, and so on. Also adds to the Exile lore that they just won't use a lightsaber anymore as it's a sort of past life for them. I generally don't bother holding off on starting levels for more Jedi levels with my companions. I think of their Jedi levels as complimenting their original class rather than taking over entirely. A lot of their Force powers are just self buffs so they're more self sufficient in combat. I also don't like to meta game, knowing they'll become Jedi when in universe they don't know until it happens. But I can see the benefits of holding off for them if you just want more Jedi on your squad.

Single saber is good because there is less feats needed to make it good and you start with no penalties to hit. To be good with Two Weapon Fighting you need all of the feats to minimize penalties. My KotOR I Consular has Single Saber with Keen and Massive Critical upgrades with Dueling 3 and MCS 3 so I crit on 11+ and still have high enough to hit to confirm the critical. That's all the melee feats I need when I'm not casting. Does like 12-32 + 2-12 for a total of 14-44 damage half of the time and 6-16 the other half.

You make some good points. You wouldn't need so many feats with single saber. I can say most of my feat go into 2 weapon fighting or something that helps with the penalties. When i play i go Sentinel sith lord light side. I abuse moza in telos and get ds prestige then choose ls options but go with vaklu and kill the masters while being an otherwise good guy in everything else. I make all bonuses 0 rather than negative, max intel then charisma at the start, then get enough int to max all skills, then dump into a plus 1 bonus on everything and as much con as possible to make a versatile leader. Double bladed lightsabers and force capable armor. Force storm is awesome. Wave is great. So is death feild.

I always start at Sentinel to get the skill points, but go to Weapon Master at 15. Going through the early mine fields and a few other things are worth being a little weaker at first. Especially if you go 14s on your first 4 stats.

Just started another playthrough and the last time I played I tried to go full on force since I was mainly using lightsabers before and I wanted variety, plus I wanted a challenge and the class was said to be for experienced players (little did I know it's damn OP). My favorite was to stasis the hell out of everyone, so this time I'll go consular -> watchmen, since it has a lot of big improvements for someone already skilled in the force AND SNEAK ATTACK, baby! Dude, stasis plus flurry with force speed with dual wielding lightsabers... I'm just sad at what my enemies will have to face at this point. Boy, do I love character building! Btw, the idea came from the point in Nar Shadaa where I realised how quickly Atton melts through enemies after I stasis them. If he can do it with just two little pew-pews on hard difficulty... Force save us all.

I tend to favor sentinels for the extra skill points as skills are key in the game. I start by dumping str, putting 14 in all other attributes. I try to hit 18 con ASAP, so first two increases go to con and then I'll use Hanharr and HK to get the last +2. For other increases you are free to choose dex, wis or cha. Start evil to get Hanharr but go light for the personal crystal to get extra wisdom over the charisma from dark side crystal. Handmaiden helps give you extra mileage from wis by allowing it to grant extra defense per wis modifier. Also light side sentinel prestige gets extra saving throws per level over sith assassin, but fails to get demolitions as a skill in trade-off - easy choice. Head to Onderon to get the guaranteed Ossus Keeper Robes ASAP, +2 cha and +4 int and wis is juicy, I tend to consider it the best robe Hope to get either Circlet of Saresh (light side) for +5 wis or Force Focusing Visor for +1 cha, +4 wis and +2 force regen Either Improved Automation Gloves for +5 dex and some skills or Jal Shey Meditation Gloves for +2 dex and wis and some extra awareness There's a few good belts but I prefer Qel-Droma Belt for +1 cha and wis and some force dmg immunities or any stealth belt that can get either +3 or +4 dex (+3 has +1 defense as well, which is better if you have an odd numbered dex to begin with) Also of course hoping to land the Universal D Implant for +2 to all attributes (need 18 PERMANENT con to equip), otherwise mental boost D package for +3 to all non-physical attributes, Quickness for +4 dex and +1 def, or Immortality for +3 con and all toughness feats. Usually go single lightsaber since there's not a lot of good attribute crystals around. Also dual wielding doesn't fit in my class fantasy. I get Hanharr always, never say no to free +1 con and +3 wis, or +2 con, +1 wis and + 2str if u like str builds I guess.. Also repair HK-47 ASAP, you get +1 con and wis once you hit certain alignment thresholds to open his dialogues And fixing T3-M4 also nets you +1 wis, on top of giving T3 A BUNCH of extra attributes himself That's a permanent extra +2 con and +5 wis for your player-character, or +3 con +2 str and +3 wis if you chose to accept the lesson of strength, but since strength only benefits damage and to-hit chances with melee I'll always dump it in favor of dex, since dex does that too with finesse minus extra damage, but you also get defense, saving throws and skills from dex. You end up with an insanely wicked machine of a jedi. High HP and Force pool, insane defense, huge to-hit chance, all three saving throws are crazy high, you have skills for days, DC of your force powers is through the roof, high charisma for dialogue goodness, you can stealth super easily, all your healing is increased a lot due to your wisdom even with medpacks - True self-reliance. Kreia would be proud. Only tweak I'd ever consider is to maybe start as guardian to get force jump, as force jump gets a free sneak attack proc. But I generally consider that subpar compared to the losses of not being sentinel.

I moderately disagree regarding Watchman/Assassin. It's worth noting that Sneak Attack doesn't just trigger when you're sneaking up on an enemy-- it triggers when your opponent isn't able to fight back. That means it triggers on opponents who are suffering from Statis Field, Insanity, Force Wave, etc. Insanity + Master Speed + Flurry + Sneak Attack can easily put out in the neighborhood of 200 damage per round to a single target.

In Star Wars KOTOR my favorite build is Scout/Jedi Consular. I get the skills I need to get through the game without relying on my companions too much, I get to repair HK-47 enough to get his story before hitting the Leviathan, and I’m over powered to point of mowing down enemies with my double bladed light saber or spamming them with my force powers. In Star Wars KOTOR 2 my favorite build would have to be Jedi Sentinel/Jedi Master for pretty much the same reasons. After all there are points in the game where you are going solo and can’t rely on companions all the time.

@Don Fresh Duel Wielding is more for the unconventionalists (Like Kun, Krayt, Vintress, Bastila, Grevious and others). Me personally, Duel Wielding is not a sign of weakness, but rather a sign of Genius Intellect. As it is quite difficult to master Duel Wielding and Saberstaffs compared to the single blade due to the multi-tasking involved in using them. Also, the ones using them are mostly Pioneers and Trail-Blazers, individuals who naturally or just by their own choice, stand out as cut offs from a different cloth from the Masses both in their own unique styles of combat all the way up to the highest being of their very person. So Duel Wielding is not a cowardice, but a sign of brilliance and acknowledgement that there is a need for them to have extra developed tricks in case they are overwhelmed by more conventional styles of combat Imo 👍🏾!
@luciusnetheril4 жыл бұрын
If you're playing as counsular, dueling is a more preferable option, than dual wielding. Those +3 to attack and armor class allow you to be a tank-mage. You'll have high AC and with all the buffs your attack will be high enough to allow you to fall back to melee, in case of running low on energy.
@CatDaddyGaming4 жыл бұрын
You are absolutely correct. However, I do believe that this would only be beneficial during the beginning of the game. If you spent the 3 feat points on 2 weapon fighting instead of dueling, it would eventually be better for you in the long run than just dueling. With the second saber crystal slots you could easily get much more attack and defense bonuses than you would from dueling and you would be outputting much more damage than with a single saber and all 3 dueling feats.
@luciusnetheril4 жыл бұрын
@@CatDaddyGaming If there are crystals, out there, that add +3 armor and +5 attack, to compensate for the penalties, then yes, you are fully correct. And I must admit, I don't recall all the crystals, all that much.

There is a power that makes entering stealth easier, might be called "mind trick", so using sneak attack blaster bolts and mind trick to run and hide is a viable build
@runswithscissors96965 жыл бұрын
I like that there is a new video on this game but i feel there is one thing that you may be underestimating, putting a blaster build on main char. Dual wielding blasters with rapid fire with force speed just mows down enemies before they even get to you and if you get "finesse lightsaber" feat(dex applies to both range and light-saber attack bonus) you can still handle enemies if they can even get to you and just hit "switch weapons" or force wave them away. Now, I will admit its not as optimal as just going pure melee and I find myself having to use the work bench more fore optimization but it definitely is viable and faster cause you dont have to waste time walking to enemies. (unless you get force jump) other than that great video and I also save levels for when they can become Jedi. p.s yes this works even on hardest difficulty.
@CatDaddyGaming5 жыл бұрын
I agree with some of the points you made. Blaster building can sometimes get OP with upgrades and correct leveling. When I'm in a pinch I bring HK47 or T3M4 cuz I have them built straight dual blaster and they wreck lol. What I can't bring myself to do is build both blaster and lightsaber (melee). Primarily being that I want the lightsaber lol I love being a lightsaber master. There is obviously nothing wrong with playing the game that way. I just don't feel it worth it to sacrifice attributes and feats towards blasters if you still want to game with the lightsaber. Going only blaster build would no doubt give you no issue, I just don't play the game that way as Jedi usually rock the lightsaber. I do intend on doing a blaster build video. I just planned on doing it for the companions and not for the MC. You are right though and do make some good points. I just don't like to play blaster builds on my Jedi Main Character. A friend in my discord is thinking about going through the game weaponless. lol not ideal but he has some pretty good plans for building in mind. I love this game cuz you can play however you want to and still do good if you are smart about your leveling! :)

I know it's an old video for an even older game, but a few things about skills I didn't hear you cover in the Character Creation section; - Repair also determines how many components you get for breaking down items, and further into the game it is absolutely necessary in order to fully maximise upgradable weaponry as the difference between high and low repair is a factor of many hundreds of components from a single item, but also bear in mind that when using a bench with a party (ie; not on your ship) the skills of the character who interacted with the bench are used for creating and breaking down, so your MC's skills in this regard won't always be important. - This is less aimed at beginners as some prior knowledge of the game's sequences helps here, but Demolitions + Stealth can be used to completely cheese many otherwise-challenging packs of enemies by placing mines in front of their noses whilst stealthed before entering combat, and just a few points in demolitions can allow you to set up gross amounts of low-cost low-impact mines around an NPC before triggering a scripted combat (you don't need big damage mines when you can just use more mines instead, so low skill level works but you need _some_ skill in it. **MINOR SPOILERS** Mine cheese is especially useful for consular/master/lord MCs when fighting handmaiden in unarmed combat for her storyline as you can't do this on another companion, plus you can set up mines in the bar on NS before triggering the final story sequence where Atton gets ambushed by the assassins, for a much easier time). It's ugly, it's slow, but it _is_ effective. - As mentioned above (and later in your video), your companions' skills will cover most of your lock-opening and crafting needs for 90% of the game. Skills that are especially useful for a MC are ones that open up the most frequent dialogue options and these are (in order of usefulness); Persuade, Repair, Awareness, Computer, and the rest. Bear in mind that ALL skills except Stealth are used in a conversation-check at least once at some point in the game. Primary stats like Intelligence, and to a lesser extent Wisdom, can also open up some conversation options - if you want good influence with Kreia for example, then high Intelligence+Awareness is almost a must. Also bear in mind that, just like workbenches, if you initiate a conversation with a character who is not the MC, the game will act as if it is the MC who is conversing, but skillchecks will be made against _whoever initiated the conversation._ The third point I mentioned is the most important, as the strongest aspect of this game is IMO the dialogue and story, and it's surprising how Computer+Repair are solicited in conversation almost as often as Persuade is, although they are quite often interchangeable (you will get a prompt for both, but a successful check on either will yield the same response) so you don't necessarily want to invest in both. Quick Note: While saving levels on Force-Sensitive companions is a great idea for some of your companions, it really isn't for Atton - Atton gets Sneak Attack from the start, which you described as working from stealth or from behind but it _also_ gets applied to stunned or incapped enemies. In fact it only works at close range from stealth or behind (making it more of a melee feat) but against stunned targets the range is unlimited. As he gets this from the beginning of the game, it will reach a very impressive damage multiplier by the time he is Scoundrel lvl19+, and converting him to Jedi Sentinel will *stop him from getting any more levels in sneak attack for the rest of the game.* Using fully upgraded dual "Keen" Mando Rippers or Disintegrators gives him a base 15-20 crit threat range, which becomes a near-guaranteed crit with Master Sniper Shot, that will also *stun the enemy when it hits* allowing you to follow up with some Master Repeater Shots that will all get sneak attack bonuses as well as likely a few more crits in there. Sneak attack damage isn't multiplied by crit multiplier so continuing to use sniper shot on a stunned enemy is overall a damage loss, but this combo is without a doubt the HIGHEST overall damage to a single target in a single round _in the game._ Atton is a _much_ better blaster build than he is a saber-figher or team-buffer, and not even T3 or Mira can touch him as dual-pistol builds thanks to Sneak Attack, and coupled with a strong consular MC who can buff him and ensure stuns get onto enemies with high saves he's the perfect addition to a team with Handmaiden or Mandalore/Hanharr as a melee tank. As a side-note, it's also not a _bad_ idea to keep Mira using blasters after she becomes a Jedi, and just take advantage of the extra attacks from Master Speed. The characters you really want to "Jedify" asap are Handmaiden (assuming no unarmed meme build), Disciple, and most of all Bao-Dur (unless you are using him as a skills-bot, but there are actual bots who are better suited for that). Otherwise great video that I hope will help a new generation of RPGers appreciate this absolute classic.

I'd like it to be able to use a blaster pistol and light saber at the same time

I played this game years bk had forgotten alot, i found if played correctly your character can reach above 1000 vitality an force 1000, also there is a glitch on the mandalorian moon when your defending the mandalorians an you can earn unlimited exp, i found death field to be the best against lots of opponents because it drains their lives an feeds your own, i had fun using this ability on malachor vs sith lords

After all these years, I had absolutely no clue you could turn Bao Dur into a jedi lol

Just started my 1st play thru as a gaurdian.

Hell yeah! You are going to love it. Guardian is a solid choice. Love the extra weapon feats that they get!

Just starting my consular! Going full Sith though.

Dark Side Consular is probably my favorite! Force Lightning can feel cheap sometimes but it really helps you push through the more difficult areas! You also get the really clever remarks from HK when you are Darkside too!

Haven’t played KOTOR 2 but for KOTOR the only skills I truly leveled up were persuade (a must id argue) and Treat Injury. I had persuade in the high 20’s and treat injury in the mid teens

Sneak attack counts during insanity and force stasis. It's very strong.

I was sleeping on Sneak Attack. Never used it correctly. Tried it out after a bunch of users recommended it and yeah it is very effective!

Also force jump, so guardian/watchman for massive damage bonuses.😊

My favorite play through I do is only using a blaster pistol. I find it much more fun. The exile becomes a smuggler or mercenary after their exile, refusing to use a light saber again. This is my preferred play through
@CatDaddyGaming4 жыл бұрын
That's awesome! The fact that the game lets you do that is the reason I love this game. Replayability is endless when you try out different scenarios. I am currently doing a blaster build Jedi playthrough cuz other have told me how much fun it is. I got distracted after a little bit but I plan to finish that playthrough here soon.
@lemonlord01324 жыл бұрын
@@CatDaddyGaming it is fun! I think my next play through I might try something crazy and only use a blaster. My normal blaster play through I let myself use the force but just imagine the difficulty of not using the force at all
@CatDaddyGaming4 жыл бұрын
@@lemonlord0132 That sounds like it would be quite the challenge without any Force Powers to fall back on. After that next challenge play through is Hand to Hand Combat only. No weapons or blasters lol! Have heard of others trying this route but never braved it myself.

Oh and to somewhat prevent your teammates from running like dumbasses turn them to stationary instead of aggressive and turn solo mode on before you initiate an attack, helps with the headache if anyone still has that problem
@CatDaddyGaming3 жыл бұрын
Thank you very much for saying so. I totally forgot you could set them to stationary. I was using only solo mode for a while. Switching them to stationary helped out very much when I was recently playing the mobile version. Cheers!

My first time playing through I made a Guardian/Sith Lord. By the end game in the Trayus Academy, it was so satisfying clearing out rooms of several enemies with the Dark Side of the Force and without even drawing my lightsaber.
@CatDaddyGaming5 жыл бұрын
This is how I play most of the time. I will try to stay to melee only but Force Storm is always plan B when the health starts dropping. Or if I die and haven't saved for a while. Just Force Strom my way back to where I was before I died lol. Very OP!

Just an additional thing you can do with flurry and 2 lightsabers is use master force speed and you have the chance for 4 hits

With Juyo I think you can get 6. I cover it in my lightsaber and Force form video

Duel lightsabers vs duel blade isn't just about getting more upgrades. For rarer parts being able to get weapon specific bonuses on all your attacks makes the duel blade the better choice. Single blade is really only worth it if you're trying to max your ac but it's never really worth the opportunity cost. Really wish they would have given them something seeing how under powered they were in the original but it's even harder too justify in kotor 2
