Look I love reading so obviously have read that book. But most normal people don't gt paid millions of dollars to read books for 6 months, or get the world best karate expert to teach them fighting, to sail around the Bahamas filming, taught instruments, dialect coaches.. The amount of stuff I'd do if I had the time and got paid for it! I mean, I'm the sucker in the wrong job I guess

@valhalla12406 жыл бұрын

once again: being able to read makes one pretentious?
@theloniousm43376 жыл бұрын
The reference had little to do with the situation other than to let people know she recently read (or watched) 1984. Making irrelevant references is pretentious, yes.

Calm down pretention police, nothing is more pretentious than that. It was an appropriate reference, it wasn't drawn out or over emphasized. It's fine. Relax

@isaacharing6 жыл бұрын
@DNAWKCARC Don't get me wrong, I didn't see your comment in a bad light. And I understand where you're coming from. But accents are very clear to hear in English most of the time. And for anyone to hear a different accent to what their used to would sound funny! 😂 But as for the Australian accent, generally we are actually very sing-songy with our sentences. ( Meaning we go up and down in tone) And often end our sentences in a night pitch. Though there are three variations of the Aussie accent. And Cate's is a cultured Australian accent. (Just look up Australian accent in KZbin and you'll see what I mean) 😊👍
