In today's Vlog we visit Arcadia Rural Fire Station to check out one of their Category 1 Tankers - Arcadia 1B
The Category 1 Tankers are the flagship appliances of the NSW RFS. Able to respond to a variety of different incidents from bush & grass fires to motor vehicle accidents and structure fires. Equipped to carry 3500 litres of water and foam, as well as a formidable array of specialised equipment. The Category 1 Tankers are a vital part of the NSW RFS firefighting fleet. Today Deputy Captain Sally will take us on a behind the scenes tour of Arcadia 1B.

I see you dont carry a portable pump 65mm for drafting from a water source where trucks can not access

what a overun means if your in a spot where u can retreat from the fire ground safely then you must activate your burn over procedure which means you get fire blankets get rid of fuel put hose under the appliance aiming at the diff and call on the radio code red turns on siren to notify other appliances in your area to come and find you when the burn over procedure is complete
