Good idea, Tim. think lithium batteries will be my next big electrical upgrade on the bus, but I’m still thinking about that.

Great instructions on the turbo upgrade, Ted. Have you thought about changing out the Donaldson air filter and converting it to one where a cartridge filter can be used instead of the big can filter?

Thanks Clark! Yes, that's an item that I have considered, as it is an expensive unit. At this point it hasn't made it to the top of the priority list, nor have I done any research on what a suitable equivalent would be. I think the stock air filter leaves a good bit to be desired. I've got another video coming out in the next couple of weeks about the scoop I put for the turbo/air filter inlet, which helped a great deal. But I think with a good filter would help. That stock location, being right behind the rear axle, is really not great either for picking up debris so the air filter gets clogged quickly.

How long is the new turbo oil feed line and where did u get it made at and what fittings did u use

I can't recall the exact length, you'll need to measure to figure out what size you need. That isn't too difficult as if it's too long, you just have a new hose made up. Any local hose shop can do this. Fittings, the new turbo came with a flange with a fitting for the turbo side, and you match to that. The oil housing side had an O-ring fitting that went into it on the top for the oil supply, I took that to the hose shop to match that for the other side.

What's your plans for the old turbo?

Right now it’s sitting on a shelf in my shop. I’d considered doing a tear down video at some point to show what it looked like, especially the wastegate.

Your alternator shouldn’t be wobbling around like it was after your start up.
