I always love seeing some heavy equipment in use. Long term I'd like to get into it a bit....but that's a few years away still lol

I've done a combination of cutting then pushing and under cutting then pushing, the latter taking a pretty good bit of time and effort. Cutting then pushing left you with stumps. Either way, it's just a ton of work to clear and grub a bunch of trees. You either need a large excavator (track hoe) or plan on spending a lot of time if your goal is to make a pasture out of a forest.

Why push one over then cut the other down ???

I had the same question. Too big for the dozer to push over?

Hey they were too close to the asphalt and they didn’t want to tear it up with the root ball

*cringe* dont fall trees on your knees. Even if your spry enough to get back on your feet like this guy, that 1/4 second it takes to stand can get him killed. Especially when you've got that 20 ton track loader shaking the widow makers loose.
