I 'be been moving coal most of my life & I would say that bucket is lifting 23 to 25 tonnes of coal per bucket depending on density & moisture content, Good job.

It may look slow but the fewer moves the old Cat has to make the faster the job gets done. This is an ancient Cat. The newer ones have smaller bucket levers so your hand doesn’t have to actually come off the other lever. Almost can be used by your fingers. This one here is an old girl but will run for years. I used to run a Komatsu, 3 lever with the 3rd as a side dump for the bucket for tight spaces, and more accurate material dumping. Great vid though👍

Yeah, lots of intricacies in work like this. Seems simple, but it’s not. In a way it’s kind of like moving a pile of dirt with a shovel. You could take all day and break your back doing it. Or you could be mindful and attack the pile with a strategy. Save energy and increase efficiency.

@@guyh.4121 that’s exactly why high paid operators deserve and earn their pay. A lot of people can drive a loader, few are truly professional. Im 21, I used to drive a loader for a small concrete company. It was easy loader work but, with every turn of the wheel and every rotation of the bucket; I realized I could have done infinitely better. Skill man. That is how I look at any job. Ironically I am jobless right now.

My dad and I took our shortbed 97 Chevy Z71 pickup truck to get a truck bed full of compost from a place we found online. Now our truck isn't in the greatest shape but it gets us around, well anyway we get there and we were expecting a regular tractor to load us up but that is not the tractors they had big ass construction tractors not as large as the 1 on the video but the bucket was way larger than our truck bed. Luckily the operator really knew what the Hell he was doing he started dripping the compost in a little at a time but our truck still squatted down and further down until my dad had a scared look on his face and told me to tell him to stop loading. I'll tell you what it is scary being surrounded by massive machines while your in a tiny truck
