So cool to see all this come together! The Caterpillar Company teams seem very proud of their work, as they should be :)

This is such a fascinating behind-the-scenes look at how Caterpillar builds those incredible machines! 🏗 The level of precision, engineering, and sheer scale of the production process is mind-blowing. 😮 It's amazing to see how these behemoths come together from start to finish. The attention to detail and the technology involved are truly impressive. 👏 Can't wait to see more insights into the world of engineering and manufacturing! 🚜💥

The amazing thing about the engineering of the 797 is that it is such an easy to operate monster. I found it to be far more preferable than the 930 Komatsu in terms of ease of controlling the beast. It’s got a mechanical drivetrain compared to the diesel electric setup and the response is far better and simpler to control. For a 400 tonne truck that hauls another 400 tonne payload it handles very well.

I've worked in the mining industry for well over ten years. I've driven Komatsu 930s, Volvos, Terex's, Liebherrs...you name it. None of them can compare to the Cat 793s or Cat 795. They are, simply put, best in all. Oh, except the fact that the Volvo has a better stereo.

Lmao I'd take the Volvo in that case I'm a music nut. What a fun job you have 😁
@ZeroneAngel4 күн бұрын
@@chloeleedow7250 I'm a music nut myself, so I buy a set of really good noise cancelling headphones and drive off into the sunset with a Cat 795. But tbh, nowdays I rarely drive the trucks, since I'm mostly loading them using Cat's, LeTourneaus adn Komatsus. And it's pretty much the same with wheelloaders and hydraulic shovels, the Cat's are best.

16:21 - Thats not true. machines can literally see everything a human can see as well as everything a human cant see. But some computer vision tasks are cheaper to scale in business by hiring already trained humans in an already established field than by hiring a programmer and engineers to create from scratch the software and hardware to replicate that task. Trust me....Caterpillar is working on it.

The bigger and heavier the vehicle, the more TORQUE it needs. Torque is power. Torque gets you moving. Horsepower keeps you moving. Torque x RPM = Horsepower. Without torque, you won't move an inch. If a diesel engine makes 3500hp, then you can estimate the torque to be between 15k to 20k ft/lbs. Diesels are built to be torque monsters. It's the nature of the fuel and design.

The changes of plan every second, the zoom, and all the artifices used in this video make it very difficult to watch. It is not possible to understand the work with such amateur work of editing the video, I stop watching after 30 seconds it is too painful and it hurts the eyes. You have to learn not to make quick changes of plan, editing with zoom and other undesirable effects and especially to put the camera on a tripod and not touch it anymore; I know it is a difficult job video editing, there it is failed.
