The fact that he'd set him up with a woman who neither shows her face nor let's him call her. Also the guy is good looking, so it goes to reason there's a high probability the "friend" would find him attractive. I mean all the yellow and red flags were there. I don't know why they don't see it. If someone messages me and I'm interested to have explore a relationship, I make it a point that I don't really get into a conversation unless we are having voice and video calls. I do that for potential friendships too, though to a lesser degree or urgency. If they make an excuse, I pull back before I get too invested and if they don't make calls happen within a week or two max, I write that off as a scam unless proven otherwise and I'm still interested.
