Well I'm going to try to explain the video since people are asking about it. The Guy first met the girl at the institution and their relationship blossoms into a romance. After the girl got lobotomize the guy tried to keep there romance alive doing same things they use to do but she won't respond because of her procedure. So whenever he goes to sleep he dream of the past when she wasn't lobotomize. He wants her to go back and thinks the solution is to escape with her. He gets caught and when he gets caught the girl remembers their relationship or understands what he's trying to do for her(explains why you see the tear go down her cheek). Guy gets the same procedure done to him that happen to the girl (a lobotomy) and now there both in the same state of mind but they still sub consciously care for each other still with the image of them holding hands after both there operations.
@guilhermeutzig86910 жыл бұрын
Why when she did the lobotomy, she stands there like was nothing happening?

What does lobotomize mean?
@jameswoodward691810 жыл бұрын
John Bautista being lobotomised is a medical procedure where they basically "cut out" a part of the brain (the prefrontal cortex) by severing the connections it has to the rest of the brain. It is incredibly inhumane and to my knowledge is no longer practiced anywhere. It comes from a time when people did not understand the biology of the brain, and who did not know how to "deal with" crazy people. It was basically just guesswork. Patients would come out of the process mentally retarded and unable to function independently. It was given the term "medically induced childhood". Patients were given the procedure under the initial understanding that it may help them, however any supposed benefits of the surgery were dubious from the start, and many patients were given the procedure just so they became easier to deal with: "I fully realize that this operation will have little effect on her mental condition but am willing to have it done in the hope that she will be more comfortable and easier to care for." - Comments added to the consent form for a lobotomy operation on "Helaine Strauss" a patient at an elite private hospital Read the wikipedia page on "Lobotomy" and read the "Effects" to learn about the lives of some people who were affected. It's horrifying. An example: it happened to JFK's sister when she was a child. She was dyslexic and depressed, so she was lobotomised: "Placid and easygoing as a child and teenager, the maturing Rosemary Kennedy became increasingly assertive and rebellious. She was also reportedly subject to violent mood swings. Some observers have since attributed this behavior to her difficulties in keeping up with siblings who were expected to perform to high standards, as well as the hormonal surges associated with puberty. In any case, the family had difficulty dealing with her stormy moods and reckless behavior..... In 1941, when Rosemary Kennedy was 23, doctors told Joseph P. Kennedy, Sr. that a new neurosurgical procedure, lobotomy, would help calm her mood swings and stop her occasional violent outbursts.....James W. Watts, who carried out the procedure with Walter Freeman, described what happened: '"We went through the top of the head, I think she was awake. She had a mild tranquilizer. I made a surgical incision in the brain through the skull. It was near the front. It was on both sides. We just made a small incision, no more than an inch." The instrument Dr. Watts used looked like a butter knife. He swung it up and down to cut brain tissue. "We put an instrument inside," he said. As Dr. Watts cut, Dr. Freeman put questions to Rosemary. For example, he asked her to recite the Lord's Prayer or sing "God Bless America" or count backwards..... "We made an estimate on how far to cut based on how she responded." ..... When she began to become incoherent, they stopped.' After the lobotomy, it quickly became apparent that the procedure was not successful. Kennedy's mental capacity diminished to that of a two-year-old child. She could not walk or speak intelligibly and was considered incontinent." Truly horrifying.

It's funny how life moves fast, most of us grew up to these songs, we would come home from school, boot up the console no matter how the day went to play fifa and we would listen to these songs everyday, that's why they're so powerful for most of us, reminds us of how simple life was when we were kids, but also reminds us we're growing and that can be scary sometimes. It's really sad but at the same time it's beautiful to experience these songs again.

I love this song and how caring this guy is. In the lyrics he sees how she has values and respects them even when it means that she tries to hide it, he’s able to see through that facade and still respect her for what she believes. The fact that he’s also willing to do anything for the sake of her values, to stand beside her holding her hand even when they can’t escape her own prison, the fact that he’s willing to stay with her. That’s fucking love.

This song reminds me of my first love, despite the fact I wasn't posh and "in", and "I never had a chance", I still pursued her and when she and I first officially met at a party, she said that she could outdrink me, I kissed her for the first time that night and from there our relationship grew over time as we spent a lot of time together and when we were alone together it was magical. As time went by, her friends and others told her to leave me, I was an alcoholic on a path to benefit street. She publicly broke up with me, but she couldn't stop herself from always coming to see me once she went to university and tried to keep it all a secret. In the end, she crawled up next to me one day during all of it and said it was time for her to move on. I was hurt and conflicted but I said do whatever makes you happy, that way I'll be happy. She did just that, we were each other's cocoons as we grew from teenagers to adults and when we said goodbye it was if we had given each other the self-confidence to be how we wanted to live our lives, without letting other's define it for you. This song is amazing and everytime I listen to it, those moments of my time with her flash through my head and make me smile. I hope one day we see each other again, but regardless of what happens in the future, it was the days we were together that made us who we are now and I would rather go blind than to see her not become the amazing woman she is now. For that reason this song will always be close to my heart.

Well I'll try to explain the video since many folks must be intrigued. The Guy first met the girl at the institution and their relationship blossomed into romance. After the girl got lobotomized, the guy tried to keep their romance alive by doing same things they use to do together but she wouldn't respond because of the procedure. So, whenever he goes to sleep he dreams of their past. He wants to get her back and thinks the solution is to escape with her. He gets caught during the attempt and the entire episode brings back a part of girl's memory. She remembers their relationship and realises what he wastrying to do for her(explains why you see the tear go down her cheek). Guy is caught and is also lobotomised by the asylum. Now they're both in the same state of mind but they still sub-consciously care for each other. For those wondering, lobotomy is a medical procedure wherein the doctor basically "cuts out" a part of the brain (the prefrontal cortex) by severing the connections it has to the rest of the brain. It is incredibly inhumane and is no longer practiced anywhere. It comes from a time when people did not understand the biology of the brain, and who did not know how to "deal with" crazy people. Is it just me or does anyone else get super emotional to this MV? Like I cry every time I see it, like I can really relate to it somehow? I see this guy try and save her and she can't do anything else for herself. The mental deficiency absolutely hits me. I've been and dealt through this type of institution for depression, a mere chemical imbalance. These pills stop you from feeling. That is the worst: apathy. I can't imagine not feeling love, hate, sadness, happiness, etc. I got out of there through recovery and found I am my own producer of happiness or just plain emotion. Those pills truly end everything: life. This guys trying to save her reminds me of when my friend came to visit me and I couldn't show any emotion, I had no ability to try. He got me out, he was the one who saved me, who gave me a purpose and ability to feel again. I love this video, I absolutely love it. It feels great to love; to feel.

All I see in the comments is, "best song in fifa," and, "if you like them check out Blah Blah." and stuff like that. But I feel like there should be more comments appreciating the actual video. Because in my opinion this is one of the best music videos I've seen.

Dude give this guy a legend card
@dzarsos9 жыл бұрын
Mikey Lopezzz I agree with your view of the video, BUT, I also have to insist that it is probably the best song ever used in FIFA.
@jamesdodd979 жыл бұрын
Antoine Jameson No way man, I am completely in love with this song, but FIFA 2004 was an utter goldmine when it came to soundtracks
@dzarsos9 жыл бұрын
James Dodd I probably should have offered a qualifier... I've only been playing FIFA for about 5 years, and in that time, this is easily the best track I've heard in FIFA. I have looked at the soundtrack to '04, though, and I can see where it'd have some significant appeal. I'm not so keen on most of the groups, honestly, and I'd prefer this track to any of them, but hey... music taste is subjective, right?
@massiveFreek9 жыл бұрын
Antoine Jameson I do agree it is the best song in fifa 15. But I just feel like there should be more comments appreciating the story and video.

I was in multiple places like this as a teenager. I dropped out of school because of the time away from home. Thanks to a childhood friend lacing some weed. My heart feels this song, especially the video. I'm twenty now but I'm still fighting my past experience mentally.

I fell straight Into your arms Like a drunk Who’s been on it All morning. And the sun’s up And my head’s fucked. And immediately I grab you You go all red Like the first time I love it when you do that God I love it when you do that. I remember when we Swapped names and I thought maybe You’d stay and try to out-drink me Your friends, all hated it! Fuck it if they talk Fuck it if they try and get to us Cause I'd rather go blind Than let you down. I cocoon Round your shoulders When you’re half cut And you’re frozen And you’ve got that visible breathing You’re depending on me again. I remember when we Swapped names and I thought maybe You’d stay and try to out-drink me Your friends, all hated it! Fuck it if they talk Fuck it if they try and get to us Cause I'd rather go blind Than let you down. Fuck it if they talk Fuck it if they try and get to us Cause I'd rather go blind Than let you down. And if you wanna shut down and pose as positive and Hide smoking from relatives and Rest on me, Honey, that’s all right! And if you wanna act more drunk than usual To help you get away with more than Rest on me, Honey, that’s alright! Honey, that’s alright! I cocoon Round your shoulders When you're half cut When you're half cut Fuck it if they talk Fuck it if they try and get to us Cause I'd rather go blind Than let you down. I remember when we Swapped names and I thought maybe You’d stay and try to out-drink me Your friends, all hated it!
