My friend's dad got scammed for several years by a young woman in Romania, but at least she would video chat with him all the time and he would send money. It wasn't until he was planning a trip to visit her in Romania that she told him she got back together with her ex so she couldn't keep chatting. At that point, he had probably sent over $50k in money and gifts to her. His daughter said she thinks he knew all along it was a scam but he figured it was worth paying for her to video chat with him a few times a week

In older videos on this channel the people whose pictures were stolen agreed to talk to the scam victims with the Scamfish Team to try and help them accept that they were being scammed. It never turned out well and I'm glad they no longer involve the real victims in the process. It was just so cringe to hear them talking with their crush and actually thinking that the real person would pick up where the scammer left off. One woman turned into a legitimate stalker with the guy whose photos were stolen having to move and change phone numbers. I can't remember which videos those were, but they were posted about a year ago.

Update: I understand people's reaction to my comment. Attraction plays a large factor in a relationship, but marriage is something you have to work at for succession. Noone stays beautiful forever, so eventually the attraction may dissipate over time. That doesn't constitute a divorce. That being said, you can't make someone love you, but you can at least say you tried. But the audacity to go back to the wife he left and ask for things in return is not okay.
