subscribed. love these videos. Where are you at in texas? I had built a long tail for my 14ft Vhull and loved cruising the rivers. (a couple videos on my channel). When I buy another motor, i would definitely look for a jet.

I have a 28’ Crownline and a 1548 with a 25/18 jet. Crownline rarely sees water but I run that jet boat every chance I get.

I’m thinking about buying a jet outboard center console to fish on small rivers and this looks pretty fun. Just trying to decide if the hp inefficiency and meh low speed handling are worth it.

What are you getting for top end. I have been thinking about a 1655 or 1755 with a 40 or 65 jet. I want to be able to get in that back water hunting and fishing but some of the spots i go to are over 15 miles and speed makes a big difference on a long trip

Have you considered a Warn Axon winch for your new boat. I know you love the exercise but a waterproof atv winch would save your spine and hamstrings😂

Really have put little thought into it. Just adding the weight turns me off from it. It be great to have especially when solo riding because it be very little weight at that point.

I would not. This is plenty of power for me. Love to go faster but you gain very little speed and a lot of weight

The 60/40 and 90/65 use the same pump size. They can only pump so much water regardless of motor size. Lots of folks say the 90/65 is just a dog with extra weight and gas consumption for minimal gains
