What this map surprises the most is how all the circular props in the game are so compatible with each other.

0:31 - ❤ 2:45 - That's one of the many things I learned from Demon Arisen's puzzle design philosophy: always show the player what they're working towards immediately 11:10 - Infinite thanks to TeamSpen210 for providing us with the miraculous vactube entities provided by his HammerAddons toolset 14:38 - Not on your channel, no Awesome video! Knew you'd like the Pipe Dream paradise setting, but I must admit I was not prepared for the amount of suction-based innuendo 😅

0:31 great recommendation as always! thank you! 2:45 such a simple idea but makes a huge difference to the gameplay, the fun is working out what to do, not working out what's expected of you 11:10 the fact they all work those entities work together seamlessly is really impressive, like the animation of the things inside is seamless too 14:38 yeah i had a quick search after to see if i had played it, the feeling of understanding it was just from good puzzle design then :D great recommendation thank you so much, definitely one of the best i've seen, and honestly i thought i limited the sucking jokes quite tastefully ....i mean i really could of gone the other way with that :D much love!

Wow, I was hoping to see you play this but I didn't think it would be so soon! Glad you enjoyed, and as always thank you for being so thorough in reading the description and finding out about all the surrounding context. Nice to know my little attempt at a Demon Arisen-style in-character message wasn't a waste of time :D. One small thing - this map wasn't actually an *entry* for that TWP challenge. It did start life there, but the challenge was to make a map in 72 hours, whereas this map took just over two weeks. I'm excited to see you play the other maps entered though - my personal favourite was Catharsis by maxdragon, though I may be slightly biased given we were vc-ing for much of the time while making our own takes on catharsis. Still, it's an excellent map, and doubly impressive since he actually stuck to the time limit! Cheers

I love the idea that the tubes all actually go somewhere throughout Aperture! they are such an important thing to the idea of Aperture but they're usually just a dropper in a map, this was such a great idea to give them a real presence themselves. When HugoBDesigner recommended it, and i saw your screen shots on the workshop it looked amazing and i wanted to check it out so i did it as soon as i could, and i was not disappointed! you, as you always do, did and incredible job, your maps are always a pleasure to experience, thank you so much for being part of the portal community and sharing your skills with everyone, i really do appreciate it, like honestly if there's ever a portal3, valve need to be begging people like yourself and others to come work for them to make it happen. Just two weeks to make this is incredible too. I have Maxdraggon's entry in the list to do and a few others from the competition, i do want to do them too just to see the different takes on the puzzle like this. Thanks again for the maps, and as always for watching too! ❤

evelyncarnate definitely does some seriously awesome work, their maps are always beautiful and work so well, and seem to run perfectly too even with so much going on like this. it must of taken so much work just getting all of these entities to coherently place together and be so visually pleasing too. just a few weeks too? very impressive. LOVE the concept! At first I was like "why is there a puzzle/test at the central sorter, that doesn't make sense", but the whole aesthetic is pulled of VERY nicely and it now feels like someone went to Cave Johnson and asked for more space for building a chamber and he likely yelled at them to "build it literally anywhere in the facility" and there we have it. The most Aperture thing to do, put a puzzle literally in the sorter. The tube observation room is a nice touch as well
@ngeruma Жыл бұрын
i love the idea that yeah the tubes do all actually go somewhere and run through out aperture rather than just being a dropper in a chamber, and that would be very Cave, there'd be some kind of rant about how he doesn't pay you to ask questions about where the science goes, just make the science go! As always, thanks for watching!

Awesome play as per usual. And you can definitely see that you are getting better and better. To the point where the railing demon arisen gives, basically matches with how easily you get through chambers. Very well. As always, have a very nice day and catch you later 😊

I do think i'm getting a bit better at these, i mean i should be by now or it would be kind of sad wouldn't it :D a lot of it has to do with how well a puzzle and map is designed though, like the player should be able to work out what they need to do and the fun puzzle part is working out how to do those things, it's not fun not having any idea whats even expected of you. Thank you for watching and for commenting too :D

Hammer does have a steep learning curve to get into and it's not exactly the most user friendly software by todays standards but if you can get it into it allows you to do some amazing things. Beemod is getting better all the time, and some time hopefully soon, portal 2 community edition will be released which is going to be like hammer made by portal modders for portal modders store.steampowered.com/app/440000/Portal_2_Community_Edition/

I forgot to watch thIs one. I like this map because it shows how massive the tubular infrastructure is in Aperture. Also you got SUCKED through this one. Als i hacked into a aperture server from the mtcu (massive tube control unit) and i read that these tubes are sometimes used to suck other….. stuff… that’s all i can say😉
@ngeruma9 ай бұрын
it's really cool to see the tubes used like this and this is now pretty much part of my personal head cannon, that this huge mess of tubes serves every other map we play with tubes in. as for the other uses of these tubes and their sucking properties ...i'm not sure were you'd ever get such filthy ideas from! certainly not from me, i would never say something like that this is a family friendly channel after all :D also thank you very much for going back and watching videos later on!
