We always fly SFO-TPE-HKG and while CX/HKG provide a more glamorous and modern experience, the price premium is not necessarily worth it for a frequent traveller. We usually take EVA and pocket the US$300-ish price difference per person. That's more than a grand saved for a typical family of four!

EVA is great and I think in some aspects superior to Cathay but EVA in Chicago isn't very cheap anymore

Nice wingview! However, this A350 has the revised winglet and it is not a good looking at the initial very curved design.
