Fly Around Yes I Agree, Lufthansa offers the same standard economy meals, with the addition of a small appetiser with your main meal, a bottle of water in on the seat pocket & chunky kit-Kat in addition to the standard economy class desert you get.

@@paulsz6194 Lufthansa doesn't deserve its reputation, unless it is First. In all other classes it isn't even close to being a so called 5* airline. It's short haul economy is worse than BA. Premium economy is far worse than BA. long haul economy it is bettered by Swiss and Austrian. Austrian business class is far superior to Lufthansa (at least you can get a direct direct aisle seat without a neighbour. BA club suites are also far better. Listening to others discuss which airline is best, is like listening to tech geeks about whether Android is better than IOS or vice versa. It is pathetic to watch. Lufthansa are the Apple of the European aviation world. Living off reputation, not reality.

These seats were designed with HKG Eastern time zone routes in Mind which are IAD, YYZ, JFK BOS & EWR. Although the shortest routes HKG-TPE & HKG-MNL can get them too.

I haven't been to Changi T4 yet. Looks impressive! Food looks great in the Cathay lounge! I visited the Noodle Bar at The Wing in Hong Kong airport and had their Wonton noodle soup. mmmmmmm Cathay got alot of American and Aussie pilots ;) Another great review!

Yes what a lovely person to get your nephew to help her with the bag tag etc...I thought she might put a tag on him as well !! (Joking) The animated show with the shop fronts reminds me of Singapore many many years ago....like Bugis Street and it looks great !! Excellent seat choice for filming the take off....and a magnificent wing view !! In my humble opinion the 2 most "useless" things on modern aircraft..1. Coat hooks...they get featured during every seat review but I have hardly ever seen anyone use them ? 2. Footrests....again they take up room and are not all comfortable when you do use them. I remember flying with Singapore airlines on a 380 in Premium and the bloody foot rest was hopeless....a complete waste of space !! Right Here...Right Now...looking forward to next Thursday and stay safe in HK !!

Nice flight review, not a surprise of course :) Think that Cathay should include a starter in the meal especially on international flight... I do find it weird that sometimes the flight via Bangkok is operated by an A350-1000 while sometimes it is an A350-900. Overall Cathay is great though!

Good video. I was in the same seat from MAN HKG and I agree about the foot rest. On an A330 from HKG SYD I found the old PE seat to be wider and more comfy but the IFE wasnt as good. Had the same fish meal as you but not enough sauce. I think SIA food is better than Cathays. Looking forward to the 777 PE seat on the way home. Got a decent sleep on both journeys so far.

T4 is actually the smallest of 4 terminals at changi. It's a test bed for the huge T5 project currently on going that would be even larger than all 4 terminals combined. Happy you love our airport! And I live like 10 mins drive away didi...❤

Yes Pierre, short haul catering (and service) is the exact same in economy and premium economy class :) Yep I would say that I was lucky to gave 2 great flights with them for this trip. My inbound flight in particular, the crew was so engaging to pax and friendly!

Not sure why CX is not providing product consistency on giving out pre-depeture drinks, real cutlery and a piece of chocolate on short haul PEY flight.

pre-departure drinks, real cutleries and chocolate aren’t included on short haul flights. You get economy service and meals in premium economy on short haul, mainly because it’s ‘short haul’ and the price difference is minimal. Thanks for watching!

Hi Desmond, it's because this is a short-haul flight so everything is same as in economy class. I only paid extra $500HKD for premium economy (return) so it was still very good. Most airlines including American Airlines and Japan Airlines do the same thing for short-haul premium economy class :D Thanks for watching!

Hey OWF, I sadly have to disagree with your Premium Economy experience. Last year I did SYD-HKG-EWR with them, and I was appalled. When I went back to grab a drink in the back alley I was given a plastic cup and told to pour the drink myself while the cabin crew continued to chat about their personal lives. Then, during meal service, they seem to not give a crap about what you want, and have the most shocking attitude to asking what meal ("what you want" and smashing the tray onto the table then walking off. Because of this, I was happy to surrender my Cathay MP Club Silver and go back to flying Qantas.

sorry to hear that you've had bad experience with cathay! "what you want" i acceptable in a HK eateries but certainly not onboard Cathay Pacific! I hope you'll still have a chance to fly Cathay in the future being a Qantas frequent flyer :D and thanks for watching this one!
