Flying on a Cathay A35K on leap day, what a great experience it must have been! I thought the refreshed IFE was great, especially when cabin lighting was low. A nice review overall! I remember watching your old flight reviews to YYZ, probably 8 or 9 years ago (when your channel had a different name, I can't remember what it was), and you inspired me, and some time next week, my first flight review is coming out on my other channel! Just a huge thanks from my side, and I am excited to see what else you create in the future!

I was flying the same route just day before you and we had a lovely sunny take off. I chose omelette for breakfast. It was good. My flight back wasn’t so pleasant though. Due to my very upset stomach, I couldn’t eat just anything and I concluded that the only safe option was the chicken. By the time it was my turn to choose (seat where two teams meet), there was no chicken. I was the last one to be served. I opted for no food and asked only for tea. They even forgot that, and I had to ask again. I felt abandoned and forgotten, as if I didn’t exist. Even though the stewardesses where trying to make it up to me, there was unwillingness to warm up some food later into the flight, when my stomach felt a bit better. I was very hungry. Instead they offered me breakfast, which I couldn’t imagine eating at that time. I understand they have a policy of not warming up the food, but here was a customer, who got no food due to their fault, and they are being very strikt with their policy, and didn’t grant me my wish as I was getting slightly better. It ruined my flight all in all and couldn’t even eat breakfast later on. I would praise Cathay so gladly, but this experience left me wondering why on earth they couldn’t bend the rules a bit, and make me happy in my bad situation. Coming from a former communist country myself, I guess I have my answer.

Nice video. Just wondering, do you use tripod or selfie stick to film your flight videos? do you use sticky mounts when you film the aircraft wings? the camera looks very stable when you film your videos

Hi! I'm on the same seat next flight - may i ask if you were able to Lean back with the seat? I usually don't do that so i don't bother others, but this seat is in front of the wall so being able to lean back a bit would be nice!!! Thanks in advance!

Yes you can lean back, same amount of lean as other seats too

60% load, perhaps caused by an overkill price, but it is the largest Airbus A350, with an A350-800 the occupancy would have been much better.

Don’t forget the -1000 has a higher cargo capacity too and that Amsterdam is a major freight hub hence why it’s deployed there.

@@jamesmoloney6497 mostly heavy loading on this particular route because CX has been reducing the service ( used to be daily flight before Covid ) . I was lucky ,got a last minute complementary upgrade at the boarding gate

Flight was really good! Ticket was around £750, I did check a bag and I’d give food a 7.5.
