Is 2 hour layover enough to transfer to my international flight? Is the airport easy to navigate? Thanks for the video.

Very dicey. Just enough on a fine day. Hong Kong International Airport is a busy airport and add in the weather factor (the stormy season is coming soon), flight connections might need some buffer. 1. Hopefully you are flying Cathay Pacific on both sectors... in this case a representative will help you through the connection IF there is a flight delay. 2. If you are connecting between 2 different airlines it is almost just enough. Here is the calculation: 1. Disembarkation to Transfer Security: 10 min 2. Transfer Security Queue and Scan: 15 min 3. Walk to new Gate: 10 min (if within same terminal) 4. Add 15 min if your flight connects between main terminal and midfield terminal (in this case you need to take a train, check my video playlist). That is 50 minutes minimum time to get from Gate to Gate without flight arrival delays. Hope this helps. By the way we have Explore Series for travellers to different countries/territories too. Depends on which gate that you land. I landed this time on the Midfield Concourse and it was a ling walk to the Automated People Mover train. The limiting factor is the security check. If you are short on time, there are staff at the arrival gate to usher you and the security will also allow you to jump queue by showing your boarding pass. Good luck!

Was 50min enough? Im a bit skeptical to book a cathay pacific flight due to the short time lay over and we have kids travelling with us.

@@cheyserrcabiles It really depends due to the aircraft type. It can be possible if you are take Cathay's flight at Terminal 1. Click manage booking, choose the front rows as possible to disembark faster.

I transfer in Hong Kong frequently, the lines are almost always long unless you are lucky your flight does not land with a few others at the same time. It takes at least 30 minutes. If you are planning a transit allocate 2 hours as a minimum in case you land at the Midfield Terminal which requires a train! Hope this helps. By the way if you are in a rush inform the security by showing your ticket. If you flight is Cathay Pacific to Cathay Pacific and the connecting time is too short, a ground staff will be on hand to assist (Cathay Pacific to Cathay Pacific only). @@mh1073 have a good journey! If in anytime you are in a rush, talk to the ground staff on arrival. They are very helpful. Your gate will be shown on the screen above as you queue in the security queue.
