Dark Souls III is a 2016 action role-playing game developed by FromSoftware and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows. The third and final entry in the Dark Souls series, it is played in a third-person perspective, and players have access to various weapons, armour, magic, and consumables that they can use to fight their enemies. Hidetaka Miyazaki, the creator of the series, returned to direct the game after handing the development duties of Dark Souls II to others.

You can buy a torch from the Shrine Handmaid and it's an easy source of fire damage. There are a lot of enemies that are stunned by even a tiny amount of fire damage and the torch would also cleared the worm/bleed buildup in this area.

You've made peace with the giant so his arrows can't damage you anymore. You can simply stand in place and let him pick off any enemies near the white trees that he's protecting.

Unless you accidentally get rid of his special white branch because you think it's a regular white branch, then he's mean again 🙁

It's worth going back through the Catacombs of Carthus from the beginning because there are some pretty useful items that you missed there. Now that you know how to kill the skeletons it should be pretty easy.

You missed the Grass Crest Shield in Road of Sacrifices near the start of the water area. It's the stamina regen shield that you used in both your Dark Souls 1 and Dark Souls 2 playthroughs. You can still two hand a weapon and just have the shield on your back to get the stamina regen and it stacks with the Chloranthy RIng.

You're completely overthinking the two giants: they're enemies so just hit them with your sword.

I think her intuition that they can somehow be lured away and penned was a totally understandable one, and in some ways makes more sense than "stab them in the toe with a sword until they die".

It's a big interwoven area, no wonder you don't get to the boss. Don't let anyone tell you what weapon to use. There is always someone that thinks one weapon is OP... apparently 90% of the weapons are OP when used correctly. Just use the ones you feel most comfortable and have the most fun with. Easy. 🙌

The Painted World Of Ariandel is actually a DLC area you stumbled into. Best to leave it for later in the game.

Hi Cam. You should go back to the Cathedral of the Deep bonfire and explore the area before the stairs. Also, at the Chapel, check the well just outside. Well played with the Cathedral Knights on the rafters. I never managed to make them fall down. 😂 Don't overthink about the giants, they hit hard but they're slow. Don't go hollow.

You actually need to get an item from the Cathedral to access Irithyll of Boreal Valley. So the progress order should be Cathedral, then Farron Keep, Catacombs and finally Irithyll. Smoldering Lake is sort of optional.

Hi Cam and whoever reads this that I really enjoy your playthroughs. Also just wanted to add some of my own thoughts on cams comment about a comment on ds1, someone saying she needs to learn the mechanics. First of all, that is that person's way of playing. Miyazaki said himself at one point that you can play the games however you want, like killing an NPC or using two shield if you want, which make it more of an Rpg than alot of other games that call themselves rpg's *cough* *Bethesda*. Also, the game is open ended really. It doesn't directly tell you where to go. It's why I always feel like I regret telling someone how to play the game but feels okay to offer suggestions and say how you yourself might have played. But thats just me. Well anyways just some thoughts from another souls fan. And I agree ds1 and bloodborne handle very different. When I played ds1 I used a shield and didn't even know how to parry. Then I played through bloodborne and got so used to two handing it just felt natural to do the same in ds3. Everyone gonna enjoy the game different. Some people like to torture themselves and do hitless runs 😁.

There are hypothetically many builds in Dark Souls 3, but in practice only two-handing with dodges is viable build as even most powerful armor is tissue paper.

Camb you're really, really overthinking the two giants 😂. Those two levers have nothing to do with them, they just raise those two walkways for later. You kill the giants the same way as every other enemy, just get in close and start swinging, they're really slow and easy 👍

Actually the lever ARE meant to trap the giants in an arena when the player can move freely, though it's not mandatory.

But how could you know when you can lock on 🤣 Wait with Ashes Of Ariandel. One of the DLC's. Nice to be stronger when entering. At least you can fast travel now
