I wish this band could have gotten more attention than they did.

Ultimate 90's sound for me. Thank you Catherine Wheel and dear friend for introducing me, I'm a musician and you've changed my life since then. Along with The Wipers, the most underrated bands I know, this song is a freakin anthem.

I don't understand why this band were not huge. For me, they were the soundtrack to the nineties. As soon as I listen to this brilliant song I am transported back to my youth!

easily my favorite 90's band, beating out so many grunge acts I grew up listening to at the time, I own all their albums, and have a bunch of B-sides on a CD-R, love me some Catherine Wheel

Amen to that Stephanie!!!!, Do you have the early 80s cover of Wish You Were Here before they added the harmonica? It was on some promo cd single Ive long since lost. All I can find is there version on Like Cats and Dogs. Would LOVE to find that

Probably CW's best song ever, a masterwork filled with some major truths of life.
@wesbailey42693 жыл бұрын
I still think Black Metallic is their magnum opus. This song is my 2nd favorite.
@EvgeniyNeutralMusician11 ай бұрын
What truths of life, huh. I mean it's a good song and there is some good sense, but to call it "major truths of life" is an overstatement. It's a good song, not a great ancient philosophy book.

No band takes me back to the late 90s like these guys. Excellent and unique guitar sound. Saw em at the HFSteval in DC in 91 on the Ferment tour.

They were an amazing band, great live and a catalog of magic songs. I never quite got why they weren't huge. They certainly had everything going for them. The same with 60ft Dolls.

I think it's called "My side of the mountain" either that is the movie title or the book title. I can't remember exactly but I remember reading the book and watching the movie in grade 6.

I saw the movie for the first time today. Had a hard time understanding the accents but nevertheless it was pretty bleak, hopeful, disappointing...I ran through all the motions. I'm glad to have finally watched it.

This should've been on the local airwaves instead of that grossly overplayed Metallica 'Turn The Page' cover that some seemed to play every other hour. (looking at you Live105)
