@@DaveAnchovies yeah ,they had a record label & promotion & festival gigs where they played to a lot of people ....if those people then decide not to buy the records or lose interest in the band then so it goes... 'Under rated' is just a way of saying 'I really like this band .....but not many others do' . Or 'my views on something are correct - ignore all other information....its wrong'

I was there among that (small) Coventry Spinadisc audience all those years ago, and then followed them over to the Northampton branch to witness it all again. Many thanks to the guy who filmed it and sold me a copy of the tape, and to you Lewis for making this all available to us. Hard to believe that little lad who got Neil's drumsticks would be in his thirties now!

I was lucky enough to see Catherine Wheel on their Adam and Eve tour. That album should have been way more successfull, it was criminally ignored by the radio stations and press.
@joeketa635210 ай бұрын
Adam and Eve and Ferment are my two favorite Catherine Wheel albums. I don't think I could choose between them. Adam and Eve was their polished best, but it's hard to beat the raw initial album. I saw their Adam and Eve tour as well as Ferment and Happy Days. They are one of the few bands from that era that I still love to listen to.

Saw them at The Duchess in Leeds. Brian came into Relics Records. Painful Thing EP only record that's ever drawn me in off the street to ask, "What's that?" Was in Ladbroke Grove. They had a big pile of 12s on the desk. Fave tunes Strange Fruit, Salt (live), Lifeline. Future Boy, Intravenous... So many!

omg that girl at 31:40 and her questions.....what a train wreck. If i were that quiet guy to Rob's left, i just would have gone "1, 2, 1-2-3 and..." and just started playing over her. and she has to be told there is not a baby on the CD cover. did she maybe LOOK at it beforehand for a second? then calling their town 'tacky'? it gets worse and worse. egads....

I've got so much stuff just unorganized on a hard drive, that there's much more content to add and edit. I didn't want to bunch everything together, so thought I'd just start with a simple couple of hours. I actually think it would work better if everything was just in order by the albums and each era. Maybe make more sense that way. Working on it!
