Hi Catherine! New sub here. You know, I am 63, and it makes me very sad when I hear “mommies” have to explain themselves regarding their little ones cleaning up after themselves. You are not the only one and it’s makes me sad. My kids are older, and they are perfect homemakers and helpers. Yes, they cleaned up after themselves BUT many times I did it for them. For the exact reasons as you said. But sometimes it’s easier, faster and gets done “better” let’s face it. But I just wanted to say that you raise your son the way you want to! You shouldn’t need to explain as we don’t see what happens off camera. I am sure that he will be a wonderful helper, especially when he gets older! They learn by watching also and you obviously keep a nice, clean home! He will be fine, no need to explain! I loved the video, good for you! You did an awesome job and it looks amazing!

One 15 min video a week does not display your parenting style nor is it a “go get em” sign to attack people for how they parent their own children . Catherine Elaine To keep the ants away you can use peppermint oil in your water when you mop the floors and use it to wipe the patio door entrance. Insects hate peppermint!

While you’re waiting for pest control you can get those ant traps from Walmart. Place it on the edge of the wall. It will get rid of the ants ASAP. We get ants at the beginning of each Spring/Sumner and once I place a trap at my patio door or where I’ve seen the ants, within 24-48 hours the ants are gone!!

We always have a ton of ants 🐜🐜🐜🐜 in the house and those buggers climb up the pole that we have our hummingbird feeders on. Well, hubby put out those and ant food things all over the house and at the bottom of the bird feeder pole and, poof, no more ants....

Omg ants are bad this year. My kitchen sink and cabinets are bleach clean and they are everywhere. They also went after my cat food. I had to buy a pet bowl moat. Lol from amazon. It's so awesome

No command hooks back then when I was doing it. Keep up the good work and share with us. P. S. I'm sure the pest people can get rid of the ants. They can nest away for a long time and then show up. Probably way before you moved in.

Years ago one of the places we rented had a ant problem. They came a few times to spray but they continued to come back. Finally figured out that they were in the walls. I would call the office and have them send someone in and make sure they do a thorough walk through to see where they could come in.

Borax powdered soap from the grocery will help with the ants. Looks like you are on the first floor so sprinkle it outside along the wall of your apartment. Won’t hurt any person or pet. Just ants. They also like to be under dishwasher and sink. Sprinkle some there as well❤️🥰

Tip. The live ants will crawl back out of the vacuum. Use a ant spray or the sticky ant traps work great. The ants come in when it's hot outside.

Sometimes mothers don't have the time to clean pet bowls everyday. I was a single mother and did my best. I'm now raising a granddaughter and I do clean the dog bowls twice a day, because I feed the dogs twice day with the help of my husband and I work out of my husband. All we can do is our best, but children come first.

The ants are coming for the cat food. It's high in protein. I have the same problem. You might have to clean the bowl more regularly.

Hi your brave to drill in the wall never works well for me. I have watched alot of cleaning videos and one thing I noticed is that no one touches the fitted sheet . That's the sheet you should give some attention to that's the sheet that's wrinkled and has skin cells and where the dust mites live. LOL I usually pull the top corner and give it a shake just a observation I hate wrinkle sheets.

the ants could be because of your cat's water and feed dish. In the heat, they are attracted to sources of water also. I have problems in the summer around my sink and where my dog's dishes are. They are little and would be coming from under your doors and or windows. My dad calls them P*** Ants but they are more commonly known as Pharaoh ants.
