DLP has lots of hidden nods to Jules Verne. He was actually a big inspiration to Walt and his work - as I was told by a DLP cast member. ALSO in Phantom Manor just before the section with the Hat Box Ghost in the graveyard, there is a REAL skeleton of horse on the ground - The horse actually worked at DLP when it first opened.

If you ever get the chance, I really suggest going to De Efteling in The Netherlands. It’s a fairy tail theme park with rides and shows. Good for two days of entertainment.

How fun! I would recommend a stroll through Het Sprookjesbos (the fairy tale forrest) for a very easy and whimsical vibe. And knowing you like the Haunted mansion there is a new ride that opened last Halloween (Danse Macabre) . Furthermore there are a lot of thrill rides that are a must-do : Joris and the Dragon, The Baron, Flying Dutchman, Villa Volta. And the Droomvlucht (Dreamflight) and Symbolica have a dreamy fantasy theme. AND you should feed Holle Bolle Gijs Some paper, he will thank you for it 🙂

DLP Pirates is so superior to any of the other Pirates I’ve seen! My family and I visited during the 30th anniversary and on a whim decided to check out the park a bit the night we got there. The pirates line queue was super short so we hopped on. Came back for our first real day only to find that Pirates was and would remain closed our entire trip for renovations. We were gutted because it’s one of our favorite attractions but we were so happy we decided to randomly come the night before or we never would have been able to ride it.

What a beautiful gesture from DLP the drone show was and brilliant timing for you guys. That's a very special memory that not many people will have. I love DLP at Christmas but it's too cold. I don't like being too bundled up walking round the parks and getting on rides. We took my twins a couple of Christmases ago when they were 2 and it was an absolute nightmare trying to keep mittens and blankets on them 😂 We're going in May this year lol x
