A great series, loving it. We were staying with friends in Glasgow and they decided to drive us up to the foot of the Highlands. I was blown away by the mountains. Absolutely massive. For next time you're in Scotland - the Irn Bru that comes in the glass bottles is the old, full-sugar recipe! It's more expensive because it gets the sugar tax obvs, but it's still a thing if you look out for it!

I wish you could see the lake in my hometown, Catherine. Loch Ness is about 13,000 acres, and the lake where I’m from is 37,000 acres! Of course, it’s a manmade lake. And it’s hard to tell just how huge it is because there aren’t any high points to view it from.

You should go to Lake Superior in the US. It’s about 1,500 times larger in surface area than Loch Ness. It’s mind-blowingly large. Your road trip is so far stunning!

As a Scot, I’m so happy you enjoyed your visit to our wee home land. Scotland is a truly magical place, especially in autumn. One piece of advice though, the only Irn Bru to drink is the glass bottle of Irn Bru 1901 which is the original recipe of Irn Bru and not filled with all the artificial sweeteners in the other versions that Britvic added when they bought over the company a few years ago. ❤️🍁🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

I was going to say this. The caveat is that you can’t consume alcohol for 2 days before or after with them or they can make you very sick. Also, they should be eaten young. Hard to tell for sure if it’s a shaggy inkcap since it’s not as flared at the bottom as they typically are. Might just be the how old it is.

My neck of the woods ... pity i didn't see you in Drum , and the castle is pronounced glen-er-cart, i dm'ed Dean on Instagram but you were already out the area, we also have a motorhome and only go away during Nov/Dec as the quietest time for us as we have self-catering Lodges in the area, great vlog as always Cat and really awesome to watch it through someone else's eyes,it's truly a wonderful magical place Scotland you really need a few weeks here just to make a slight dent.
