There is NO DAMN WAY. I am stuck with a urethral catheter for a while because I have a urethral stricture. I had a urethrotomy on Wednesday. The catheter was expected to be removed after 5 days, but after they woke me up, they told me the doctor wants the catheter to remain in place for 10-14 days. It’s been 4 days and I’m about ready to give up. A catheter is so unbelievably painful for a man. I’m stuck to a drainage bag. I’m in constant pain. I tried using my leg bag to leave the house, but walking with it pulling at your urethra is so unbelievably painful, that I am just stuck sitting at home by myself all of the time. (I live alone.) There is NOTHING ON EARTH more painful than getting an erection with a catheter. I know this firsthand because it has happened to me many times. So believe me when I tell you there is NO WAY that someone can get an erection with a catheter, bend it over the side, put a rubber on it, and STICK IT IN SOMEONE! NO... WAY....ON....EARTH!!!!! (Btw.. I wish they would take this damn thing out of me. There is no way I can make it through 8 more days of this.)
