Center-negative is where the ground is tied to the pin and the sleeve has the power. Center-positive is the other way 'round.

Sorry but you do not know what you are talking about. This thing plays midi files. Midi files are great for backings and practicing songs because you can tranpose songs and slow down without glitches. The sound engine on this device is not bad even good and certainly if you take into account it,'s age . Guitars and midi have never been a great match however You can simply not emulate a guitar by taking samples. So you should not judge it by these sounds. This thing is really amazingly good if you have GOOD midi files and use it for backings with real instruments . I often use a similar device but play the guitar myself and do the vocals. Not saying that it is pro quality but still very good and easy to use.

Now that I read my comment again it seems a little bit harsh but it is really a cool device that has some hidden capacities ( you can delve a little deeper with button combinations ). Just updated mine with an usb port instead of the old floppy . Bottom line : if you don't use it anymore , I may be interested as a backup. And finally I admit when I see this device there is a bit nostalgia to my teenage and early twenty years ...;-)
