I just preordered mine! Fr Carlos has been the most important aspect of my study and closeness to God even in my Jewish faith. What he says is very important the keeping of the 10 most important commandments. Thanks for saving lives from torment. I do believe this man will be a saint. It’s clear he is a saint.

I have more of an inquisitive question for Fr Carlos -- Knowing that a priest needs Bishop Approval on a case by case basis to perform the Rite of Exorcism for that particular case, do you, Fr Carlos, have a kind of "carte blanche" approval by the Bishop to dor exorcisms as you see fit? The devil would know this, I'm sure because they are very pragmatic. I'm sure they would taunt the exorcist if approval was not given, correct?

I believe that permission is needed for a formal exorcism, but not for a minor exorcism or to say deliverance prayers and binding prayers over someone.

The host of this show was so uncomfortable with Dominic's story that he would not even speak about that poor child when Father asked the host what he thought. Dominic did nothing to deserve being born from a rape or being raped again and again. I have noticed from stories I have heard of children who have been raped that will be raped again, even though the rapist did not desire to rape the other children who were never raped. Rapists somehow know which children have been violated. It is tragic.

I hope that Fr. has written clearly in his book that lay people are not to attempt this nor the prayers. It's easy to see how some lay folks could cause real trouble. It seems that some secrecy re: prayers and maybe some other particulars that are specifically and only for the ordained would be a safety net so it's not abused by lay folk.

I don't agree with the part at the end about sacraments and his suggestion to "look at an image or religious icon while praying". that's SO non-biblical and a major red flag with the Catholic system! God said in the Bible, do not make (carved and painted) images. They are are graven images. In fact, it was Gods 2nd commandment, which the RC church removed from the 10 commandments. Yes they changed Gods rules. That's how important it is. Look into it if you are a catholic. That's what pulled me out of it after a lifetime in it.

I understand why you would think that, but many Catholic apologists have addressed this. The ark of the covenant is a graven image, did God order the Hebrews to sin by making it? Is it a sin to adore a photo of a loved one? You're not worshipping the image of an icon. I came from the opposite side, I was a protestant and found my way to the Catholic church. I had to undo a lot of lies and misunderstandings I was taught about the church. I promise if you search with a heart yearning for the truth you will find your way back. God bless

Interestingly the protestants (non chatolic) don't like Mary, confession, Eucharist (true Body of Christ), relicts, Pope, the image of the Cross, the chatolic church in general...everything that the devil hates or rather is afraid of..i think that they have love for Jesus and seek Him truly but don't understand the deception of Luther (who was also deceived)...that is something to considere ...

Note: for the non-catholic Christians out there, I wish Carlos Martins would have recommended to people they can seek out their pastors, who also have been given the authority to cast out and bless by Gods anointing. A bible believing non denominational Christian is not going to seek out a Catholic priest.

A Bible believing, seasoned, mature spirit filled minister is well equipped to minister deliverance. Deliverance and exorcism are the same ministry and have the same anointing and authority to cast out demons. Luke 10:19 Jesus said, “Behold, I give you power and authority over all the power of the enemy and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” Ps. 91 “I give you power to tread upon the lion and the adder, to trample upon the young lion and the dragon.” Those are different categories of demons.

That’s a rather surprising take. Could you elaborate? He is deeply devout and couldn’t be more solid in standing with the Catholic Church. Someone with his kind of faith will rarely “fall”, depending on what you mean by that word. Any priest may “fall” in the sense that the Pope is removing faithful priests while keeping overt heretics in high positions. If that’s what you mean, then sure, I wouldn’t worry about “falling” because it’s actually a form of martyrdom, e.g., Fr. Frank Pavone gets tossed aside for being too graphic in his pro-Life advocacy, while arguably demonically possessed priests like James Martin remain in a position of authority.
