This is the reason why Islam and Christianity are similar from the Quran. Allah says, "And it was not [possible] for this Qur'an to be produced by other than Allah, but [it is] a confirmation of what was before it and a detailed explanation of the [former] Scripture(eg. the Bible), about which there is no doubt, from the Lord of the worlds." (Chapter 10 Verse 37) The Quran came as a confirmation of the books that came before and to remove any doubt or falsehood that was added to the previous books making Islam the only true religion that exists today becaus as you yourself have witnessed, there is so much confusion connected to other religions however when it comes to Islam there is none. All of it can be explained and its just a matter of going to those who have the knowledge to explain it to you.

And let them not be like those who were given the Scripture before, and a long period passed over them, so their hearts hardened; and many of them are defiantly disobedient
