I definitely hear the Shep Pettibone influences in this song. If you ever listened to any, or most of Madonna's re-mixes during the 80's, you hear it here. The high pitched laugh parts in this song sound straight off Madonna's Where's the Party. I liked a lot of Shep's remix collaborations but I can't say I like this one the best. It's just okay. I still like the OG version of this Cathy Dennis classic. Too bad no one has uploaded the original song with the sound quality this one has.

there are about 7 or 8 versions released commercially, you can try googling "discogs cathy dennis", all formats are listed there. there is one called 'Dub all night long' released on the EU CD single, not UK CD single, it was mis-printed as all night long mix. There is always a bit of differences between EU and UK singles back then for Cathy Dennis' singles, even they share the exact same sleeve details. Same thing for too many walls, the 7" version in UK format is a bit longer than EU format.
