This is inspiring me, I am working on pushing the limits. I love the initial chaos of this painting, you pulled it together beautifully.

Yes, it's happening often that I tried to put the boudaries . Sometimes it's where I get stuck for a long period of time or I'm uncomfortable with the ugly stage and I litteraly wash my painting. Very interesting to see you sharing your process.

I haven’t tried this but can see that it would definitely help to work through one of my biggest traps…and that’s when I fall in love with something on the canvas _way_ too early in the process. Instead of trying to incorporate whatever it was it would be healthy for the process to move on and perhaps lose some/all of the feature to see what happens as you push forward.

This is how I always paint!😂

I love painting intuitively too! My process always leads me to that moment where I’m searching for the perfect composition. It’s like solving a puzzle every time. 😂 Do you always follow your intuition from start to finish?
@ellenwilliams640610 күн бұрын
@ Mostly! I usually use a limited palette(2 colors plus black & white) so at least my colors are cohesive. I love lots of layers so the first 4-5 layers have no thought - just feelings/intuition. And then I continue with intuition but do take time to stop and reflect and look at composition and contrast while editing. I love the process and if the outcome is a painting I like, that is a bonus!
