Comfy is definitely a must when crafting and comfy is cute too. And the card is cute too! I am looking to get an electric die cutting machine because I do mostly die cutting for my cards and I’m getting tired of hand cranking ( especially 22 invitations for a neighbors party). Which machine would you recommend. Tip for peeling potatoes: wash your potatoes then score around the potato all the way through the skin and then boil until soft drain and then you can just slide the skins off.

Cathy I am in the same place as you. I’ve been the same weight for several years, after having 5 surgeries in one year and recovering for 2, my weight went up. I am no longer going to use my energy worrying about it, I am healthy and it is what it is! Life is short, I’m focusing on positive things in my life!

I’m going to be a little ambitious by making three dishes for Thanksgiving with my extended relatives. Usually I attempt 1, if any. Going to make Michael Symon’s green bean casserole with crispy shallots, creamed spinach, and baked feta with honey.

Cathy, you mentioned Penzey’s Spices, we went to their store in Pittsburgh Pa when we have gone home to visit. We got hooked on their spices and luckily we also have 1 in Houston TX. We seem to be on the same wave length; I am having my daughter-in-law who is a stylist, cut my hair next week. I am going to have her cut a couple of inches off of it, because I have fine, straight hair, and it tangles terribly. The following month, I am going short!!

I DO have the Empress and I really like it. I have noticed, however, that I use it differently from any of the makers that I watch on KZbin. All of you put the narrow end of the plate system into the machine first, but I put the wide side of my plates in first. have I said that clearly? I've reread the instruction book multiple times and I have not seen any place where it tells you that one way or the other is better/correct.
