I love how premium the analogs feel; I've got the 256 version but still had to get a 1tb sd cause some games take like 90gbs! The preshader updates kinda take a bit too. It was pretty chill playing Little nightmares 2 and resident evil hd remake on handheld with decent framerates.

@@catplantASMR make sure you don't get an SD from a third party seller from any website just to save a few bucks, my first micro sd failed immediately when I tried formatting. Luckily I got my money back though 👍 Have a good evening!

@@Carrhid Micro SD's failing when being formatted is a known touchy issue. Basically its a massive stress test for the sd card and factory faults do still happen, both with premium and off brands. Good for you you got a refund though!

I got mine a few weeks ago. I had to wait a over a year after preordering. Going to fit the 512Gb drive at some point. I wish Valve and Microsoft would get round to enabling Xbox game pass to work through steam. For now I’m dual booting windows 11 to play game pass games

The Steam Deck is a great thing. But I just wonder how durable those analog sticks are. Like the Switch Lite, if those analog sticks break you will need to send in the entire device for repairs. The alternative would be to use a Bluetooth controller. Besides that, something like this is as good idea but not realistically worth it in actual-use IMO because of the battery life, how big it is, and the fan noise. On top of that, there's the limited storage and we all know games take up more and more storage these days.

The analog sticks can be replaced, and Valve’s really good about either RMAs or sending replacements (I can personally attest to this). The storage space is expandable via microSD as well, so there’s that at least. I wish games weren’t as big as they are :( I do agree that it isn’t entirely practical. I’ve brought it places and it’s a good way to kill time. Battery life will vary depending on the game and it can be extended by messing with the settings both in the game and on the Deck. I mainly use it in my bed or somewhere where they would be an outlet

I would say that the fan noise really hasn't been an issue for me and if you put in headphones you don't hear it over the sound effects/music in game, but the storage can be tricky but you can expand. the battery life is probably the weakest part honestly, but i guess it depends on what game you decide to play and you can always take breaks (:

Anyone thinking about it buy Stray you won’t regret it! Absolutely worth $30 it’s such a charming and easy going game. A great game to just relax and escape. Also, HZD is one of the best games I’ve ever played. Unfortunately I won’t be playing HFW for awhile.

Got the 512 gb one and the back paddles are addictive for me. Even though I haven’t set them to do anything but in one game. And interestingly some games that say “unsupported” work fine. Always worth trying a game out regardless of the state of their compatibility check. Minus ones you might get banned for ofc.

you can improve the battery life a lot by locking the fps to 30 it can give you an extra hour or two of gameplay
