Like, yes, Adora was being manipulated and emotionally abused for her entire life and when she left the Horde she finally learned to stand up for herself and the people she cared about and realize how messed-up her upbringing was. But also, uh. Coming at Catra with "I just noticed the person who I regularly watched torment and threaten to murder you while you were a child isn't a good person" and then basically saying "so I'm walking out on everything we ever talked about doing together to hang with these people I just met, and you can come along if you want" was kind of a shitty move. Like, I'm not saying "Catra did nothing wrong" or "Adora is the real villain here!" Adora was, at every point, doing the best she could as she understood it.
