Just like people, cats and other animals have issues. Sometimes it’s best just to vigorously rubbed a little kid kitty gently and warming up slightly. Most pets that are newborn will not suckle if they’re cold! This person is obviously inexperienced.

I am actually feeling cautious because there are not only humans wanting to get in on the show, but other cats. The other cats are careful. But, yes, I know some mothers of the animal kingdom will reject a baby if it has too much human scent. Also, I was a little concerned the monther would eventually try to hit or scratch the person who kept lifting her leg....to protect the fragile newborn and/or the birth process. I don't really know, but I've never seen so much "budding in" on the birth process. Anyway, it will be interesting to see how it goes. One other thing I used to hear was to not pick up the babies when they are so young that their eyes are still shut because it could cause the eyes to crust over and become infected or something. I'm not clear on exactly what would be affecting their eyes, so I prefer no one takes my word for it! :)

Exactly. Lets things hapen. When the kitten is going out, you should not have to put the others kittens far from their mother. Feeding while she's giving birth the next one, stimulates uterus contractions.

Butterfly Girl, I thought the same. Not good to mess with nature especially during the birth of an animal. The woman needed to let the mother cat be as she was weary and tired herself. I would not have even wiped the kitten with a tissue the mother wants to clean them as her tongue is stimulating their previous bodies and that dope pressing a tissue into the kittens can hurt them. People need to let the mom cat di her thing. Set up your damn camera and leave the room. That cat owner was starting to P me off.

I’m into this vid a few minutes and I’m thinking back on all of the cats who have given birth in my home since I was a kid. My mom would put a nice clean box in a dark, quiet corner of the house, with very little traffic. Then we left her alone . I would check on her from time to time, but never tried to interfere with her progress unless of course she ever cried out in pain. She always knew I was close by. Cats have been delivering kittens for thousands upon thousands of years upon this planet and without ANY help from us meddling humans. They are perfectly capable. 😼

Hope this doesn't cause stress between her and her kitties. If we handled my Lydia's babies too soon, she would take that one picked up, take her paws and pat them all over her baby while rolling it over. She was not happy. ; ) She was a good momma.

I agree with Hypno 100% cats don’t need someone petting them while they are having their kittens they just want to be left alone. We’ve had cats that had their kittens they need to be left alone to clean their kittens they too need time to bond with them.

Not always correct my queen cat literally forces herself on me and will grab my hand to rub her throughout and I’ve saved the lives of a few kittens by stepping in when things were going wrong. Generally it’s a good idea to let them do their thing especially if they make it clear they want to be alone, each cat is individual I’ve had both types but mostly my queen wants me in every step of the labour with her 🤷🏻‍♀️ always best to follow the cats direction. If they want to be alone definitely don’t interfere cos they can refuse to birth, so yeah this is a fair statement for some cats, but not all.

That's not a usual thing as cats prefer quiet. I had a cat years ago that was going to have kittens. I fixed her up with a bed and when she started to give birth, she jumped into my lap but she was scared! Kittens were wonderful.

OMG! He's NOT "petting her" -- he's downward-stroking (+ FAST/assertively🙄😠), to "push" them out! POOR THING! Every time the hand makes contact, her upper leg lifts to compensate for the discomfort/PRESSURE...AND she swallows, as if nervously (she can't "assert herself" now). OK, I'm "out", TOO! I actually felt sorry for the cat you didn't give her one minute's peace she knows what she's doing she's a mommy and then you kept putting the other cat in with her how was she going to give those babies TLC when you were not leaving her alone that's a natural instinct for them to take care of their babies and you kept touching her and kept opening her legs leave her alone and let her do what comes naturally you are very intrusive. I always left my mama cat alone but she always knew I was near and when she wants you to touch her babies she will give you permission or she will bring them to you you don't do it on your own unless they are stressed you need to do better you're worried more about the pictures than you were your poor little baby kitty cat giving her new ones a peaceful delivery

My cat had babies on her own ! They were gorgeous and healthy, we didn’t have to help her at all! We were there just in case she needed help, but my cat did everything and it was perfect!nylsa❤

my very close friend's mama kitty recently had birth. i was supposed to come over with a can of cat food (although later finding out she won't eat cat food, jut tuna. i also want to see if she'll eat chicken, is that okay??) but she gave birth without any warning! she found the kittens safe and full of fur in a box on top of a tall shelf. its a hilarious story and im glad we relocated them so we can keep wnd eye on them and keep them away from the other cats (they are currently in a spacious cage with the door open and on top of a couple blanket's). mama is always purring when cuddling her kittens, but sometimes she takes break to eat tuna or (usually) crunchy kitty food.

Et de déplacer la maman ou le petit, pour pouvoir faire de plus belles images... dégoûtée. Ce ne sont pas de bons traitements envers les animaux, ça.
