Nuno Soares Black cats rock..but so do ALL kitties 🐱 my Danny was a Bombay plus he had an extra toe on each front paw that resembled thumbs so his nickname was Mr. Thumbs lol. He crossed the Rainbow Bridge October 4th 2014 and I will ALWAYS miss him. Raised him from 2 months old. Also have a brother and sister kitties who I bottlefed since one month old. They are 12 now.

black cats are wonderful. My Paquita who will be 9 on April 15 is black and beautiful. She looks like a black panther with her fiery yellow eyes in the jungle. Paquita is very talkative and she likes her water straight from the tap. Her brother Alex is much quieter, but he's an orange guy. Both are hunters who bring me all sorts of presents like a red Santa Claus cap. Happy Birthday my wonderful pussy cats.

I also love chatty cats… My own girl Lennon, a marble shorthaired tabby… Meows very loudly and vocally. She recently has been diagnosed with a benign small tumor in her throat area, which now makes her meows sound like a whispered quiet meow. The vets assure me she's OK at this point, no danger of feline cancer… Just that she now cannot meow very loudly. I miss it but my girl is still with me and that's all that counts!!

I had a cat who was part Siamese, she was ALWAYS talking. It actually annoyed my roommates and my mom, but I loved that I could have a conversation with her. The cat I have now doesn't have any Siamese in her (as far as I can tell; she has short legs and a flat face) but she has become talkative too; I started talking to her the way I was used to doing with my old cat, and sometimes she would meow back, and I'd pet her. I didn't mean to teach her to talk, but that's what ended up happening.

I love how cats repeat words like now and no. They want food now and to go out now. They have the ability to say other words too we just need to listen. I understand my cat and call to her using kitty language. No different from learning a foreign language. By watching body language and repeating the sounds I've learned what the different meows mean. I call my cat in by meowing "I'm lonely" and she comes running. She responds to her name but really more like to pay attention to what's next. My husband thinks I'm going to be that strange cat lady... unbeknownst to him I already am.
