I always think it’s a bit sad that so many people feel that it’s somehow “not right” to wear long skirts in everyday life. I wear long (ankle length or floor length) skirts whenever I’m not going somewhere muddy or dealing with livestock!
@jenniferoliver87658 ай бұрын
Me too. I wear layers of skirts to keep warm, everyday in the winter, but people sometimes think it is strange. Whatever, I'm happy with my style.
@sewmuchjoy8 ай бұрын
Wow, that sounds like me!! I also wear ankle length skirts almost daily, except when I am milking cows or in the henhouse! :)
@allisonyaguchi71778 ай бұрын
I wear them even though I work in a lab. Floor length is safety compliant 😊 even if getting in and out of cars is not an elegant process for me 😅

The pope-coat... You just started knitting and made such cute wearables... There's hope for me. I've just started, with classes, and have two hats and a scarf done, and will be starting a sweater next week. I already crochet... And love that, but want to knit so badly. Nice amount of finished projects! It's good to review so you feel accomplished! Cheers!

I love how you are trying to improve the projects that you've ended up not really wearing, so you do wear them in the future. You are clearly not making things just for the sake of making things or for content, and then throwing them in a corner like a piece of junk, but you think about what you want to wear and make things that have either practical purpose or are huge passion projects, that might not get so much wear but are a dream coming true. This whole video gave of this vibe of you actively working on achieving your own happiness. If you want something, you make it. If something isn't working, you change it. I LOVE IT!

I love yearly recaps! I tend to forget everything I made, too, so it's a good reminder. Plus it lets me know if there's any videos I missed so I can go back and watch and inspires me for more of my own projects. That being said, those vests are adorable. You mentioned linking the patterns, but I'm not sure I'm seeing it/them? I've been looking on ravelry too, but so far I haven't had any luck finding something close

I love end-of-the-year wrap-ups, especially on your channel. You're so creative, I've learned so much from you this year and in the past. Thank you! I must admit though, that I could not take my eyes off this gambeson-like red jacket you are wearing in the video. It's amazing, did you make it? You look fantastic in it.

I just started learning how to knit. That rainbow jumper is really cute, if your friend is up for sharing/teaching how to make that I might have to also try crochet. 23 completed garments in 12 months is great, especially finishing up some really big wips, definitely worth a sense of achievement

You had quite an accomplished year! I actually love when sewing KZbinrs just focus on making what feels reasonable and works for their lifestyle offline...I think a lot of their audience (me included) relates. Small projects also are approachable, less daunting, and deserve their time to shine in addition to the larger makes! Congrats on the beautiful additions to your wardrobe this year! Your work was impressive.

I find I accomplish more in my project room when I have creative videos playing. It’s like I get a reflected dopamine hit with each of your completed projects, which gives me the oomf to work through the hours necessary to get to the end of my own! Thanks for being there ❤

I love crocheting too! Perfect for quiet days when you just want to relax by the fireplace and not sit at the sewing machine! I love crocheting lace! Made lace many times last year and hemmed several handkerchiefs for Christmas presents! I then embroidered a different flower depending on the person's birthday month! Very rewarding and everyone was thrilled! Love all the projects you made Cat! You did a wonderful job!

Wow. What an amazing amount of projects you finished. Love all of them. Yay for crochet. What a brill idea for the headphones. Think I'll look into doing something similar. Mine are round so dont think granny squares will quite work. What was that fabric shop you went to in Edinburgh? Going in March for my birthday. Right, going back to watch kirtle and petticoat vids.
