Hi John a friend of mine told me that branding is compulsory in QLD at what age do you normally brand do you brand wieners if you’re moving them on and does your brand have to be registered. I have just purchased a small block and will be running roughly 30 to 40 breeders any advice would be greatly appreciated thanks.

G'day Shane Dron We usually like to brand castrate ear tag when the calves are about 51/2 months old then put them back with the mothers and once they are over it all wean them thats in an ideal world mainly I don't like calves locked up in the yards being weaned freshly branded and ear taged etc. John
