Calves look really well grown Josh, I know it doesn't suit most suckler herds but I stopped weaning years ago because every year they always got back with their mums. I found it so much easier to manage the whole herd as one group. I don't think any didn't stop feeding but the odd one would go back to suck after the calf was born so then I put a spiked ring in the offending calf. Sadly I've recently sold all my cows. I miss them like mad

Thanks Philip! I do know of others that leave them as one mob. Do you mind if I ask why you sold them? Must be difficult!

@@JMFarming thanks for asking Josh, I've been share farming with neighbours and that can be challenging at times and this summer the next generation of their family got involved, he changed the arrangements we'd agreed. We only had 20 cows so wasn't earning loads so time to quit I have the fattening cattle and yearlings until the end of winter, it'll be strange when they're gone..

Was the channel high-jacked by strange intruders ?? HARR-HARR . May be company policy to have you all in high viz as a safety measure ......nice one Josh
