You have a beautiful herd of Herefords. Thank you for sharing them with us. Do you have or have you ever had issues with pinkeye or cancer eye? Herefords have such a laid back calm pet like disposition. You haver a great channel. Thanks!

We had a cow calve by herself today. Her bones had gone down, her nose was soaking wet, she was springing, and was baggy around her arse. It’s easy to tell when a cow is close to calving if you know the signs

You are more looking at feb 6th for calving, going off my gestation chart from my ncba book. Good luck. I have twelve first calf heifers myself getting ready to start calving in mid feb.

You could have mentioned the easiest way to know if a cow has been covered. The bull mounts her while in her fertile cycle (about 17 days after she calves), but isn't interested when her next cycle would have been due.
