Thank you for not making it too bright or too close, thank you for such a long video. Thank you for no ads, no other sounds like music, birds, conversation, wind, rain etc. Thank you. I feel like I am in bed.. or maybe in a reading chair. I have been at the fire's side for a while, it is merrily going and I have plenty of wood nearby. My toes are warm and I breathe deeply of the safe place I am in. There is no disturbance here, it is peaceful. Maybe I have tea or hot chocolate.. Milk perhaps? If I have an animal companion it rests beside me, on the floor or at a nearby chair. My companion is snoozing. I am drifting off as I gaze into the fire. I feel sleep's embrace soften the crackling of the fire.. And finally, at last, I rest.

Takes me right back to the 60`s (old git). A terraced house in the Midlands. 8 years of age and it was a cold Christmas day. We had relatives coming around for the afternoon/evening so my dad lit the coal fire in the living room and front room to get the house nice and warm. It had snowed the night before and was very festive. We had home made streamers and balloons on the ceiling. My dad had banked the fire up with so much coal that all the balloons burst and we had to have to front door open to get rid of the heat! Our house was the only one in the street with no snow on the roof!! Great times.

For many years in northern Vermont I used a Hearthstone woodstove with the glass front - I could watch and hear the fire. Tonight, 10 years later, I had this on the tv while cooking dinner, and I just naturally turned every few minutes to check it. I mean seriously checked to see that the fire was doing well. Also, once I thought that I should shut the damper a bit because it was getting kinda warm in here. There's some powerful suggestion in a fire at night. Thanks for this, Cat Trumpet. And I hope everyone is feeling some comfort from this tonight.
