In todays video we head over the mountain to Taos, New Mexico to pick up some supplies for our New Mexico homestead.
The day was going great until we got caught in our first ever flash flood.
Once we were able to escape the torrential rains, we got back to the property and started checking off some of the homesteading chores off the list!

One the kids will like on the black stone grill . You know those cheap burritos where there's like 8 for $3 in the freezer section. Get those and a couple cans of no been chilli shredded cheese some sour cream to top it when done . Throw the burritos on the grill toast one side then flip then pour the chilli on and the cheese cover with foil and let it steam for around 10 minutes and serve and top with sour cream . Kids love them snd they are cheap . Often called a wet burrito but im sure the kids will eat every last one .

Having the flower Indian Paintbrush on your property is pretty special. Not only are they beautiful, but they hold a lot of lore and meaning. They symbolize creativity and life. You might have fun reading the children's book "The Legend of the Indian Paintbrush" by Tomie dePaola. It's a beautifully illustrated book. It tells how each person is unique and has something meaningful to offer.

I LOVE that the kids are running around barefoot😁 reminds me of when I was a kid. Plus just the "grounding" advantages. AND I Love the view from your swing. Before you even mentioned how calming it is, I was experiencing from just watching😁 What a fun adventure this is for you all 💕

I'm so confused. I've unfortunately missed a lot of your vlogs. So you bought land outside Taos! How many acres? Have you been there in the winter yet?? I have friends/old neighbors who live there. Are you planning to still live in Blue Betty? Planning to build a house in the future? What happened to the new bus that was being built out for you?

Hi Kyle and Jenn and framily! Great video! Glad you made it home from the flooding. And love your swing and he crystals all around it. And love how Ben belied fixing it up for you. The wild flowers look beautiful. And Molly is becoming quite the cook! I cooked something like that up last weekend. But it was called fajita taco. I bought both packages of taco mix and fajita mix, and I accidentally used the taco mix so therefore it was not fajitas. It was fajita tacos because I added some stuff in there that was for fajitas. It was funny how it turned out very tasteful, but the meat was tough that we bought, but we ate it and try again later on with real fajita mix. Jenn I’ve had those kind of noodles before, but I didn’t know what the name of them was for sure. I like those noodles. See you all in a few days. Love you! ❤❤❤❤

Good day! Okay, lessons in Spanish: Relleno is pronounced, Ray Yenno. 2 Ls is pronounce like a y. Roll you R and you're a native. 😂

Jenn can you tell me about the activated charcoal? My daughter can't eat dairy so I'd be interested in hearing how that works.

Ya!! I have a friend who is in natural health and I was talking to her about my gluten and dairy issues. She suggested looking into taking activated charcoal 30 minute before eating. The charcoal absorbs anything that goes into the stomach within the time frame. I’ve been able to go out and eat at a lot of places because of it. I don’t do it for every meal, I typically reserve using it for when we go out to eat and there’s something awesome on the menu, lol.

Happy Friday Bethune Fam and Bethoonies!! Y'all got some really GOOD rainfall at least, hopefully more intermittent at least to keep the dirt a little damp and fire potential down. That was a nice downpour tho! I love that spot for your swing, Jenn. What a deal on the swing too, not a bad price at all! The kids helped make it very "Zen" like indeed. You can transplant some pretty colorful flowers or cacti on each side, on the inside the rock corners they created too, it would also be very pretty!! The kids are going so well with the mini 4 wheeler. That was probably another great decision. It's nice to have on property that size for SURE. Molly, my son used to watch iCarly when he was younger too!! He had a huge crush on her!! Haha 🍝 🌮, a new staple meal for the kiddos!! 😂 Y'all have an amazing blessed weekend, and thank you for the always fun, run around town with special " foody" and store stops! I love how y'all are growing into this "semi" homestead/farm Lifestyle ( just minus the farm animals)😉. It's sooo fun and rewarding. You'll be able to just jump back OTR when y'all are ready! Y'all can find plenty to keep you occupied, huh?! Love y'all! ❤🙏🌷🏜️

Love the swing and the property is so great. Love the wild flowers and everything ❤you all are so blessed. My daughter , now 22 use to always make spaghetti tacos 🌮 so yummy. I love shelled edamame sautéed in Italian dressing and margarine.
