I drove that road back in 1998 as a friend of my GF at the time took us there as she lived near by and we definitely went up the hill with no engine running. Blew my mind 👌

There is also a hill at the dam in the Mourne Mountains in Northern Ireland that water rolls uphill and so does your car and its very steep, i was sceptical about it untill i took my own car its crazy

Rambles with my camera Sean its not an optical illusion, Get a glass of water leave it on your dash board and watch how the water flows.. Also we done it in a car made of aluminum and it didnt go up the hill proving it to be magnetic..

Wayne Duggan The internals of the car (engine, gearbox, shafts, etc...) would all be strongly magnetic. The magnetic field of the earth is actually pretty weak, and isn't strong enough to exhibit a pulling force on something the weight of a car. I'm certain it's an optical illusion. The illusion would be reflective on everything when you're in the car.

Should be pretty easy to test. Get a straightedge and put it on the road, see which way the bubble goes...

Hi Sean, It's very easy for the eye's to be fooled. I think a spirit level placed on the road at several positions would show the general trend of up and down. Sandy

Here is the answer for everyone who wants to know the physics behind this anomaly.. the car/water will always ALWAYS roll downward. This follows the laws of physics. Now the road in question looks like its an uphill road.. relative to your frame of reference (all the land around you which is not true or level on any scale) if you were to use the horizon in the distance which is always flat and level... then you would be able to tell whats uphill or down... to futher educate yourself on this just look up relativity in science

What would be the chances of someone going out there with a football and see which way it rolls 🤔 that'd solve that question. On the subject of it being some sort of magnetic field, grab the Mammys fork drawer and if she says anything tell her you need them for a Scientific experiment 🤔😄

I'll tell you how to find out if you roll uphill or not. Try riding this road on a bicycle. Ride up and down and see which has the least resistance. There's a 'magnetic road' near my house, and let me tell you, it is completely not true once you go on a bike, and merely an optical illusion in a car.

***** I could also bring a Spirit level :-) Spirit get it :-) I guess it is like those guys Penn and Teller revealing magic tricks, sometime the fun and beauty is in the not knowing if it is true of not. Some people think because they can bend a spoon with slight of hand Uri Geller must be bending it with slight of hand which we know he isn't. . . . or is he? ;-) There is a comment below yours with someone testing this hill with an aluminium car and it didnt roll up, yet their regular car did, so who knows remember there was a time only a few hundred years ago Scienists were telling people the world was flat :-) then again maybe it is ♥ Thanks for watching
