At the end of the day it's down to the person. For me cheating is the deal breaker. And I would never forgive someone for thar. And I make that clear at the beginning. I make all my expectations and morals clear. So if someone cheats, that's not a "mistake". Allah won't change his impression of me for setting boundaries.

I respect you sir but that advice was half advice. The full and correct advice is that if someone has cheated and has had a physical relation with another than that's a serious concern. 1st.. Take them to the doctors and get tested for any STD's he or she may have contracted. Than if its all clear try and patch up esp if it's the 1st time. Remember if you want children they will suffer if u don'tske the right choices. And... The health of the innocent spouse is 1st priority.. No one wants heartbreak if they wee to fall to one of these diseases and if children contract them. No disrespect sir.. But that's the fact that is the truth.

I agree to your words Respected Mifti Menk but i disagree with a fact that if you leave somebody who was cheating on you and that you divorced him or her the very person remarried and lived happily and you might be l8cking your wounds. Well, Allah is unjust you want to say? I mean how could Allah let somebody who wronged his creation live happily after he or she has committed adultery? This is totally a wrong concept you gave in this speech.

I think Mufti has given options and explained the whole thing in a very neutral way. I have seen couples surviving marraige after adultery. Being a family medical practitioner for more than a decade, I had the chance to experience many people’s personal lives .The marriage survival depends on the extend of the cheating, the relationship between the spouses and the level of forgiveness. Not every marriage will survive, but some would. Infedility is one of the biggest reason for divorce, till to date. Trust me, after divorce, some get married and indeed live a good life by re-marring. Adultery is a major sin. But if the repentance is true, that person can sometimes totally reform Alhamdurillah !! Allah knows best 🤲🏻

if u have guts to forgive and forget then do it and if it's hearting u to live with him/her just leave him don't punish urself for what he/she has done to u. It is more important for u to live peacefully.
