The intro for this performance was partly made up of clips from their Love Yourself Highlight Reel (which is like a short film illustrating their Love Yourself album concept with a storyline connected to videos from their previous albums). As for the TV screens and projections, some are speculating that this imagery might be a hint at the concept for their next comeback. BTS has already hinted at an upcoming political song they're working on, and their other recent performances have had imagery related to media brainwashing and the "masks" people wear. Also, this was the last part of a performance that also included Not Today and DNA. BTS went hard for nearly 20 minutes straight with intense choreography, costume changes, stage transitions, etc. They also added three new dance sections to their choreography for Mic Drop. Not only that, their first intro in the Not Today video included a new dance performance and instrumental piece called Beyond Wormhole that had some pretty impressive visuals. I recommend watching this Not Today 2017 MAMA video if you haven't already.

Honestly, i felt sad seeing them all cramped up after this performance. If you put all of their 2017 MAMA performances videos, it took 20 minutes. Goddamn 20 minutes continious performances. They couldn't even breathe properly after this. Especially Jungkook, he looks like he's in pain. They didn't had time to rest bc they still need to come up on stage to receive their trophy. Ive gone through most of your (kpop) reactions, but i have to say this is the first time ive become irritated. It's not because there was a lot of talking, but that some of the talking didnt even have a lot to do with the video, or if it did, you would go on about one thing for a long time... But maybe it's just cause youve seen this performed before and you were bored? I dunno. Usually you guys are awesome at talking but still paying attention. (It's a pet hate when a reactor either looks at the camera while talking or when theyre with other people and they distract each other) Anyway just my personal opinion. I still respect that this is your reaction. Better than faking it

They performed straight 20 mins with NO break. I'm surprised they didnt collapse on stage! Maybe behind the stage. But from other clips you can see how exhausted they were! However they must think back at their performances and remember all the good times instead!
