Thanks David, we had a cracking day with great views all the way. It was a bit tricky in places with some deep snow, but it made for a great day! Thanks for watching & for the kind comments. Hopefully things will improve for all of us in 2021 so we can get back on those fells! Take care. Cheers. Eddie.

Another wonderful video. What a way to start my morning. Images that stay in my head throughout the day.Lovely to see that you have someone who can share the experience with you. Thanks again from me on the edge of the Peak District.

Thanks again Elizabeth. The conditions on this walk were quite difficult as we got higher up with the deep snow. We still enjoyed the day and it was great seeing the snow on the fells. The Peak District, where you live, is a part of the UK I have yet to visit, plenty of good walking routes to try. Thanks again. Cheers. Eddie.

Can't believe this has had so little views, best and most stunning view of the Lakeland fells and dales I've ever seen. The contrast between the pure white snow and valley bottoms is simply jaw dropping. Nice one, I'm super impressed here.

@@eddiecaisley5746 You're more than welcome Eddie, I've watched a good bit more of your content today. I like how you keep things simple, the music, not too much talking, only to explain routes and locations. You let the landscape and its features speak for themselves.....After all, they don't talk to you when you're among it do they, haha. All shot with an artistry rarely seen with amateur film-makers...it reels me in and takes me back to some of the places I've trod, and will do again hopefully in the not too distant future! Thanks for giving us all of what you do, John from Sheffield.

@@johnd8538 Thanks again John. It is great to get this feedback as at takes a bit of effort to get some of the shots while out on the walks and more effort back home to do the editing. Comments and feedback like yours give me encouragement to continue to produce more videos. By my own admission, some of my earlier videos are fairly poor. I am always looking to improve things and try out new ideas with the filming. The aim of my videos is to try and give people a sense of what the walks are like ( the views, terrain etc) Thanks again, your feedback has made my day! You never know, our paths might cross one day on the fells! Take care. Cheers. Eddie.

I think you might like this---a peak district 2 night wild camp by Dave Goodman on here. He's a Leicester man so you'll have to put up with that accent 😄, got a great wild camping channel. Where he's camping is only about 15 mile from Sheffield but very remote. I cut my teeth up on them moors, they can be very disorientating and easy to get lost in low cloud. Wainwright even described Bleaklow as "weird and frightening in mist". I think the video was filmed 28th-29th Dec last year. He's a charming bloke and quite humorous at times, if you've got a spare hour I recommend this little gem of a film.

Another superb walk Eddie, good to see Carol with you, snow was deep in places, looked like you had the fells to yourselves, the fells looked stunning in their winter coats and the views were spectacular. Derek and I were up Causey Pike a few weeks ago, but didn't get the views you did. We're both keeping well and still getting up the fells at least twice weekly. Hope you and Carol are keeping well, hope to see you both again sometime in April. Thanks for sharing. Mary.

Thanks Mary, pleased you and Derek are well and still getting out on the fells. We had a great day, this was Carol's first day back out on the fells since October and she really enjoyed it. The conditions were quite tough in places but it was worth it for the views. We are both well, thanks and are hoping to get across in April. Thanks again for watching and commenting. Cheers. Eddie

Fabulous hike together guys. You couldn't have asked for better weather to accentuated the shapes of the mountains in snow. The basin was looking great to contrasted with the white. Good going. Mark

Hi Eddie, sorry to keep hogging your feed! Not sure how to send a private message etc. I did the walk as far as Sail with my other half. Loved it! Incredible scenery and about 23c. Flying ants everywhere though! Another 3 Wainwrights ticked off. I’ll get my channel up and running with photos. It’s new and needs a bit of action!

Beautiful views looking across to Skiddaw, looked a little treacherous in places, did you need spikes? Snow seems to be disappearing fast with all this rain we’ve had. Cheers Anthony 👍
@eddiecaisley57465 жыл бұрын
Thanks Anthony, the views were really good. It was tough going in places, but we had a great day. We put our spikes on for the climb up to Causey Pike after Rowling End and kept them on for most of the walk. They certainly helped, especially going up Sail and back down again. Yes, I thought the snow would be melting with the change in the weather this week. Thanks again for watching and commenting. Cheers. Eddie.

Hi Eddie, great video as always! I’m thinking of taking someone up Causey Pike in the summer. Is the path up to Rowling End as steep as people make out? If so, is the other path from stair avoiding Rowling End a bit more ‘user friendly’? Looking forward to the scramble at the top of Causey Pike! Thanks for advice again, Matt
@eddiecaisley57463 жыл бұрын
Hi Matt, from what I can recall, the path up to Rowling End is ok with no real issues. We have done this route a couple of times now, ( both times in the winter with snow) the first time was with my son about 4 years ago when he was 17. My son is not an experienced walker and he managed ok. The scramble at the top is also ok. Thanks for watching Matt and for the kind comments, it is always appreciated. It would be good to know how you get on, if you do this walk. Take care. Cheers. Eddie.

@@hikingmatt4113 Hi Matt, we parked on the roadside beside the road bridge which crosses Stoneycroft Gill. It is near some buildings called Stoneycroft. There is room for 3 to 4 cars. I drove past there about a month ago heading over to Buttermere and I am sure there is a car park beside there now. Cheers. Eddie.
