I live on Long Island. Trust me, there's a lot of "him" around town. They drive around acting like they own the city, towns, and roads. Then, when they're hit or they hit someone, it's either not their fault or the driver made them crash. When, in reality, when you play stupid games, you'll always win stupid prizes. People don't understand what a "rear end" is. If you cut someone off and the damage is fender to quarter panel, side to side, that is NOT a "rear end." This guy shouldn't be driving. He said he was in a hurry. I think he didn't want to wait in the long line to turn left, so he tried to cut in to skip the line. He's right that people do that a lot. They do. I see it all the time, and usually the cars at the front of the long line let the linecutters in, then the cars behind them all have to wait even longer. I've sat through 5 signal light changes before because folks in the front of the line let linecutters in front of them. I'm always more frustrated with the morons letting the linecutters in than with the linecutters themselves. The linecutters feel like their time is more valuable than everyone else's, and they don't care that they make people in line wait even longer. They don't see anything wrong with their behavior. He fits that personality type to a T. The best word for it is jerk.

So the plaintiff is basically saying that during rush hour, you don’t need to follow the rules of the road- just signal and it’ll all be fine. Oh- and he has the right to hit someone, 100% HIS fault, and he can sue. WTF. And he’s not required to wait for the police because he needs to get his client somewhere? If you are part of an accident, you need to wait for the police. Period. And he didn’t pay the insurance, which he’s required to pay by law, if he is using his car for business purposes. Yeah. Sounds like a very ethical guy. The best part is, even after the judge easily ruled against him, he still thought he was right. OMG take away his Uber driver privileges.

Plaintiff: I've been making up my own road rules longer than you have been alive, therefore it is your fault. Can't say I am an expert on US road rules, but I'm sure they would be the same as Australia(except you guys drive on the wrong side of the road 😁), no changing lanes in an intersection.

The arrows on each lane USUALLY help people. Unfortunately, the plaintiff is one of those entitled "No rules for me" people. ONLY arrow on his lane indicated "Straight Only".

@@scotthewitt258 You are right, unfortunately there are far to many people who can understand arrows. Sometimes we miss a turnoff, but it is safer for everyone to go to the next one and then come back.

@@mickm6309 Oh, did not to mean to sound like I disagree with you. He definitely is a terrible and dangerous driver. I was just elaborating on there being photographic evidence he was wrong.
