Before free agency started I rated Burnes higher than Snell. The reasons why? First, age. He’s younger than Snell. Second, durability. He’s a workhorse who doesn’t have a past riddled with injury. Snell does. There are a lot of reasons why Burnes to SF just makes so much sense

Ben as far as strikeout rate. It may not be an issue. Pitchers as they mature they may pitch to contact to save on pitch count and be able to go deeper into games

Agreed, HOWEVER...with relievers playing a more important part in pitching and with starters going fewer innings on almost EVERY MLB roster...it's important to understand the "trend" of starters not seeing a hitting line-up three times through. We need and want Burnes!...as for Tucker, sign an extension, or don't sign him at all.

Burnes to the G-Men is a SICK # 1 or # 2! Burnes is a WORKHORSE, just like Webbie! Combine that with a healthy Robbie Ray (who used to beat us like a drum when he was with the D-Backs) and NOW you've got a GREAT # 1 through # 3 and you let the youngsters in # 4 and # 5 positions pitch and figure it out (Harrison, Black, et. al). Our bullpen...RIGHT NOW!…is very, very good! Pitching and defense. If you can extend Kyle Tucker and trade: Schmidt, Duval, Yaz, and another player...DO IT!

If you can then sign Kyle Tucker in LF and get him to extend BEFORE the signing, we must do it! Never mind the draft; forget the tax! Compete for a Wild Card position NOW! Adames, Burned and Tucker? With the past disappointments failing to land players long term and all the opt out deals forever, landing the Adames deal alone is exciting! The Chapman extension was great, but it was not fun to spend months thinking he'd be gone after the season. One of the biggest knocks I had against Zaidi was that he was never a player other than maybe little league or something the Dodgers Friedman went to Tulane an a Baseball scholarship. I think guys like Zaidi can be great, but not the PBO.

I don’t think it’s a good idea to sign him the same day as Willy’s introduction. Just seems kind of rude. I think it be okay if it happened later at night, but they should let Willy have his moment for at least daytime :)
