This song just shows why we humans interact. Billy Currington talked with the old man at the bar, and he made a lasting impression. The old man decided that his kids were way to stuck up for all his fortune, and he gave it to Billy. Hence the "People are crazy" and "Beer is good". The "God is great" part, well every great country song includes god, or girls, so There you go. Now get to the Bar and talk yourself into a fortune!!!

💔😭 I miss my brother!!.. I can’t help but cry when I hear this song, knowing that this was the song that my brother was playing a lot before he passed end of April 2020. He was the best big brother ever. He did all the big brother things and he was only 8months older than me. Taught me how to tie my shoes, ride a bike, & helped me learn how to spell my name. He would wait for me every morning to get off the bus from kindergarten until grade 3, he would take me by the hand and walk me to class. Our moms told us that in kindergarten he use to say he was going to marry me, his mom would say “Johnathan you can’t marry your sister.” lol and he would say “well ppl marry ppl they love a lot, they marry ppl that they want to look after, ppl they want to protect. I’m always going to protect and look after my sister, so I wanna marry her.” You know how kids can say the silliest things, and he didn’t understand marriage at all. He just knew that he loved me and he was my protector, so to him he thought that meant we could get married haha. When does it get easier?! When will this heartache ease up?! I didn’t know that you can physically feel a heartbreak. When I got the call, I got a pain so bad I went to the hospital because I thought I was having a heart attack... the doctor told me it’s my heart hurting for my brother. Along with a panic attack too tho. 😭😩💚 rip Johnathan Samuel Wyatt 💎 Forever 31 💋

I have a tattoo of lyrics from this song tattooed on me for my dad, he was always an alcoholic and beat me growing up, I hated him with my whole heart at one point of time, but when I got older I seen he was only doing what he knew and he worked like a dog to give us everything we needed, he even recently admitted he was wrong for the lengths he went to to “discipline” me, it really did get violent some times, since he’s been sober we’ve worked on our relationship and I can’t imagine my life without him, he is my best friend in the world besides my wife now. I have “god is great, beer is good, and people are crazy” tattooed across my chest for him, may god take care of him in this crazy world

This is a feel good song :) It's just a nice song about two men who meet in a bar and chat about life. A random moment where strangers become friends, even though they know they won't see each other again. I think everyone wants that to happen in their lives. You know, just chatting with a random person about anything and everything, no judgement, just a light atmosphere. This is a song I would love to sing at some campfire one day. I was just setting up some random selections in country music, and added this to my playlist. Grabbed a six pack, hit play all. Sat back playing games & listening to the selections in the background (this was the first time I heard this song). My mind immediately tuned into the song. By middle of the song I was humming along a bit & singing chorus. Near the end he states about the Obituary... I stopped playing... looked down at my feet to my six pack (4 left in it) and started weeping. In Australia we have an Old custom on ANZAC Day, we would leave a six pack for our fallen at the park memorial (knowing full well that either the cleaner would pick them up next day, or a homeless person would take them, I have even left smokes with the six pack). I couldn't hold back the feelings & had to write the words down. LOVED IT (y)

Classic country music lyrical twist to the story. Interesting vocal timing catches, with a beautifully slow TRAIN BEAT carrying the whole piece to a bridge where it drops it off and picks it back up again . It's just great bit of writing. I like the word "appreciation". I love a lot of country, and can't stand a lot. If asked what kind of music is my favorite I just say a good song is a good song, doesn't matter what kind. Guess my favorite is the "good song" kind.

Nice song. Thanks for making a lyrics video for this Billy Currington song. I've been thinking about the topic of "people are crazy". I used to post often on a public forum since 2011. And I have read many comments from people over the years - how they think this and that person from a TV show "is crazy". How they think some people on TV, online, and in real life "are crazy". Then I thought deeper about the topic of "people are crazy" mentality and people loosely saying he or she is crazy, and I thought to myself - Someone or anyone being called weird or crazy is not the worst thing in the world. To me, if a "crazy" person hasn't killed another human being or caused violent crimes and harm against other humans and animals. And if the "crazy" person has a reputation of having treated the majority of humans and animals in this world well, kindly, nicely, and with respect - then being "crazy" is not the worst thing in the world. IF they have a good heart and have treated most people and animals in this world nicely, then they are good people, in my eyes. I think the worse people are those who bully, belittle, make fun of other people at other people's expense, and who delight in inflicting pain and hurt on others. Bullies, those who treat many people poorly and badly - humans and animals, etc. - they are much, much worse than "crazy" people or people being given the "crazy" label. What matters the most is when you think of any person - ask yourself this question - Has this person treated the majority of people and animals nicely and kindly? And does this person have a good heart? Does this person care and show empathy and compassion when other people are in pain? Is that person there for other people when he or she is crying, and is their "lighthouse" like that new song "Lighthouse" by G.R.L. says? Is that person a person who doesn't turn their back on their friends and people in general? If you can answer "Yes" to most or all of these questions, then that person you are speaking of or thinking of is a good person. The "crazy" label and stuff doesn't matter as long as you know and have observed that this person has a reputation of treating other living souls - humans and animals - well, and has a record of treating many living souls well. And whether you feel in your heart and soul that this person has a good heart and soul. The 'crazy" label means nothing when you think of the more important things and questions to ask. Just some food for thought. Have a nice day, and a good 2015.

The first time I heard this song, I was having a music TV channel on - Billy Currington did great singing this song, and many others. This is a good You Tube file for those who DON'T know the words to this song.

I like this song, but my big brother played guitar and sang to it at my grandpas funeral. So this song is so true to my family. I can’t listen to this without crying.. :C

I went to the store the other day looking at all of CDs and saw his album under $5.00 and under, the CDs that don't sell. It's sad that rap music gets shelves and shelves of CD space, but country is placed in the $5.00 slot. Country is music, it means something, the lyrics are telling us something. Rap is the opposite, all we hear about in rap is drugs, girls and more drugs. I don't get why they think country deserves to be sold for $5. But, I guess Mr. Currington is right, people are crazy.

If you think rap tells you nothing and has no meaning you're even dumber than you look lol. People are definitely crazy smh
@davidstratton6963 жыл бұрын
@@LMAOZZZ69 He’s right tho. That’s all rap is about. Truth hurts don’t it? This song actually tells a story. Rap doesn’t. Then again neither does like any of the new country but that’s cause music sucks nowadays. Everything sounds the same and no songs have any storytelling in them. I wanna go back to this time when music was actually good.

Some country songs are typical and run of the mill, but some just transcend any genre and can apply to anyone if they actually listened to them. This is one of them.
