After Roots there was no Sepultura. That band is another band. This is Sepultura, here. I just found out now about Cavalera Conspiracy, I think it's fucking awesome. Rerecord all your earlier albums from before Arise and bring your music home, it is yours after all. Reintroduce the genius of early Sepultura to a whole new generation. I think the concept and music, and timing, is great. War for Territory indeed.

There was a show here in Brazil with lots of people from different bands, there was even Zakk Wylde (one of my top 25 guitar players) and Max just fucked him. The guy's still a legend, when he enters a room you know some awesome fucking music will be played. If you don't think he can perform like this, ha ha ha ha, go see him by yourself ;)

well to be honest... Max's voice's long been gone. Maybe he took some lessons for this one but I doubt it. Saw him live this summer and whilst it was one of the best gig's I've been at, he couldn't pull his raspy/gutturals anymore. He and his brother performed Roots in its entirety (and it was great, but no old school Max's vocals anywhere).

I love how Max keeps the lyrics simple yet heavy. It reminds me of a brutal, tribal warrior shouting before battle. It's not necessarily intelligent but it is frighteningly awesome!
