When you approach 50 years old, you can't help but think "what if" I had the wisdom/knowledge I have now, but transported back to when I was a young angry teenager with the energy to match. I think with this, the Cavalera brothers have proved it would indeed, be fucking great

@Celestial_Being666
@Celestial_Being666 Жыл бұрын
@@thrashmaster1357current thrash metal should sound modern not sound 80’s. It’s defined by its extreme aggressive fast tempo, percussive beats & low register shredding style guitar instrumentation. It’s supposed to be modern & it sounds better with production & technology nowadays. If it has those elements it’s a thrash album. There’s a lot of great 80’s thrash metal that had absolute garbage audio quality. It was bad at the time & listening to them 30-40 years later the quality really doesn’t hold up & you think wow I wish this were modern. There’s only so much a remaster can do. Even re-recording doesn’t always work because sum players can’t play the old era tunes. Every classic thrash band sounds better audio quality wise in their modern era then their classic era
@aldersmoke1
@aldersmoke1 Жыл бұрын
@@Celestial_Being666ou're missing the point. Modern thrash sounds so sterile that it has none of the anarchic energy. Yes, it sounds clearer, but it also sounds artificial and boring. Also, what do you mean thrash is "modern"? It's heyday was 30+ years ago.
@Celestial_Being666
@Celestial_Being666 Жыл бұрын
@@aldersmoke1 I There’s sterile, artificial & boring 80’s thrash. You can’t single out all modern thrash.Sum you could classify under those terms not all same with classic sum of it is those terms & sum of it isn’t. A lot of modern thrash has that anarchic energy you’re just oblivious to it. Or you have yet to discover it If you believe all modern thrash is that & all old thrash isn’t you’re a narrow small closed minded elitist & you need to expand ur horizons & be open to the elements ur blinded to because you’d be the one missing the point. It’s 2023. 1983 was 40 years ago. Metallica debut album Kill ‘Em All released 1983. Slayer debut album Show No Mercy released 1983. Educate urself. Knowledge is power 👊🏽 👌🏽 👍🏽 Also hysterical you used the term artificial because the definition is made or produced by human beings rather then occurring naturally. All music is artificial! 😆 for future reference I’d select ur vocabulary with caution

I was so unbelievably happy when I found this. My first ever cd was chaos AD , I got it from my father 1996 and it just changed my life. After that I saved money and bought all the previous sepultura albums. And I always loved the morbid visions album, I loved the songs and the primitive production, but the sound of that album of course sounds very rough on modern speakers. This re-recording PERFECTLY captures the original chaos, youth, rebellion, and fuck off attitude of the original release, I can’t believe this is real!!! This is just perfect. Please please please do a re recording of schizophrenia also, I beg you ❤ Igor and Max thank you so much for all you have given me ,I can’t put into words all the memories you have created for me. If you read this I will be so happy. Thank for everything ❤ / Johan from Sweden

@@adopodrinje1499 In my opinion Chaos a.d. was, and is, a very good Album. I loved it absolutely, when it came out. I always liked beneath the remains und Arise more, but they were still killing it. And I always understood it more as a groove-metal album. Roots was Nu-matal, and I hated it immediately. And now hearing Bestial Devastation, Morbid Visions and Shizophrenia in killer sound, is an absolute gift. I can`t stop listening to these re-recordings.

In 1989 at the amazing age of 17 I had a Maxell cassette tape with one side being Obituary- Slowly We Rot and the other side Sepultura- Morbid Visions! My baptism of hellfire into raw, unrelenting, murderous death metal! There was no turning back once that happened. Absolutely no retreat. To this day I still look forward to revisiting those golden days of glorious extreme metal discovery throwing on the headphones and at full volume jamming out to both albums at the age of 49! Morbid Visions more so than Slowly We Rot to be honest. Although both are monumental debuts forever to be classics and high point achievements straight from the pits of Hades itself. As far as this re-recording of Morbid Visions is concerned... 🤘🔥💀🔥🤘 SHOW ME THE WRATH!

:D Such a feeling to hear " i just heard this band" and being impressed. Literal GOATS of old school thrash, and really the history of second wave metal/thrash metal. Brazils "Slayer" if i may invoke, and pretty sure they would not be annoyed one bit in that description, Nay, in fact proud. As an artistic entity, thy reached their peak with Roots. Some, old school fans will deny, and they can just stick with ...basically Arise.. But Roots is where they found all their history culture, and influence, gell into something that is unlike everything else to this day. But if that doesn't float your boat Arise will all day for the rest of your life.

@@chickenbeekBrazilian Slayer, yeah. That's how I've described them in the past. In terms of speed, impact and ferocity. They are in no way *like* Slayer, in a musical sense, but they fully encapsulate what makes Slayer work but from a Brazilian perspective. One of the best bands ever 🏳️‍🌈♥️

Good on all of you that could. This album and Bestial's re-recording are awesome and the Schizo re-record is a bonus for me since I did like the original.
